  • A short window with storms around, decided to not wait much longer and get the new alfalfa field baled up.
Located in south central North Dakota, we grow variety crops (barley, rye, durum, wheat, oats, corn, soybeans, flaxeed) and run simmental/angus/saler mixed cattle herd. Always looking for ways to improve the operation and what I can do to improve the soil I farm. My name is Brooks, and I hope you can learn something and maybe I can learn something from you.

All the fields are looking pretty good. Looks like a pretty good yield of bales .

At midnight up here it’s still light out. Lol. Gets dark around 1.00 till 3.30. Long days right now.

Could be around 11 or 11:30 or so is when the rest of the light goes away, start to see the glowing lights either of Steele or Bismarck instead then.

I use to cut hay with open station at night. Bugs would eat me alive

Yep. Sometimes a hooded sweatshirt helps a lot... even if it's a little warm out.

I have global warming and climate change already taking care of it.
