Hi Mukesh, You are a great teacher i had learned a lot from you But I'm stuck with linux os it would great if you had started covering appium On linux os 🙏
Hi Mukesh, Thank you for the wonderful and informative video, Can we configure git webhook on change within a directory of a particular repo? If yes can you please share any info on that.
Hi Mukesh, Whether the job gets trigger with any push changes in Any branch? also can we customize our build based on the Branch? Also if more than 2 jobs using the same Github repo, how does it behave, which job will be triggered, all jobs?
What to do if there is no settings visible in github repositary ? This is the case when someone wants to trigger job in organization with read / write access but not an admin?
I am having a doubt Mukesh. Each and everytime we have to generate new webhook url by ngrok and replace the same in webhooks section? So its not a one time activity for github?
I have the same doubt. But I assume that while we are running from a dedicated Jenkins server either on another host machine or cloud then the Payload url would remain the same and we wont need ngrock.

Hi Mukesh, I had created the Ubuntu VM using vagrant in which i am running Jenkins. When i am creating the webhook i am getting failed to connect to host. Ngrok is not working as its not local host. Any solution for this?
Thanks Mukesh- there is Scenario- I'm running jenkins-server on ec2 instance attched with elastic-ip, in this case; will ngrok command work and wrap my ip eg. x.x.x.x:8080 to new ngrok-ip and used as webhook-payload url ? Its not forwarding the localhost 8080 in my case, only gives https, ( tried below https endpoint as webhook, no luck) Web Interface 127.0.0.1:4040 Forwarding 8aec-15-207-205-79.in.ngrok.io -> localhost:8080
This video helped me alot in understanding easily and completing my assignment. Thank you.

Hi Mukesh,
Thank you for the wonderful and informative video, Can we configure git webhook on change within a directory of a particular repo? If yes can you please share any info on that.
Thanks Mukesh. Is it required to run ngRock comment every 1 hour ?
Yes Sreeresh this was free version which is active for 2 hours. But if you are jenkins using official jenkins then you can the same in github.

Glad it was helpful! Abu

You need access if repo is private. Public repo anyone can access.

I have the same doubt. But I assume that while we are running from a dedicated Jenkins server either on another host machine or cloud then the Payload url would remain the same and we wont need ngrock.
Yes u r correct this was just for training because Jenkins was in my local system.
You can just get your jenkins instance url which won't change. I use ngrock for training n demos.

same is happening for me

Next time install Jenkins on a Cloud and you dont need so much hassle with exponsing the virtual IP :)
Yeah Thanks David.
Thanks
Why you didn’t give secret?
You can use secret too.
After commiting changes in git getting 403 Forbidden
without ngrok any other tool is there..
You can use below
Localtunnel
Serveo
Teleconsole
Pagekite
@@Mukeshotwani thank you..
Are web hooks free ?
