Alex is probably the best sparring partner I’ve seen in the MMA community. Dude teaches, matches pace, shows levels to help the lesser skilled guy see what he needs to work on/strive for and will lead by example (the hands up, showing Sean the proper form of a 1-2, footwork stuff, etc.). Absolute animal of a man for damn sure 🙌🏼

I really apprecite how he doesn't go crazy with lesser skilled opponents and can show the holes in their games without hurting them

I just got done saying something up there about the same thing.. he is on such a high level & his coaches. I sparred in a boxing gym, growing up, a Muay Thai & Jeet-kun-do (Muay Thai was my fav) & I never had a spar & training partner spar like that.. its crazy how high level he is
He is just a humble and nice dude. An old lion at the end of his career with still a few big fights in him. Really happy for someone like him to be this successful! Like Jiri too, so I am rooting for a good match and no injuries to both!

If I'm not mistaken he was a normal student at Glover's gym, when Poatan arrived to train permanently there the boy grew up with them and is now part of Poatan's team, he even learned to speak Portuguese, very cool to see
what is his full name and age? Melvin is the first name but I can't find more info on the internet about him, seems like a great talent

You can't really grasp the extent of Alex' skills from some IG clips. It's so important to watch the entire spar from start to finish. The way he throws constantly without tiring and with accuracy as well as his distance management is astounding. I know I sound like I'm glazing but there's hardly ever any light sparring that is this entertaining

Não sei se é proposital, mas nesse vídeo o Poatan usa a melhor técnica de aprendizado de todas, ensinar o que você quer aprender, ao mostrar os passos que o colega de treino precisa seguir para executar a técnica ele solidifica o próprio conhecimento. Um verdadeiro mestre. Para cima campeão.

Dude is a beast, a fav for sure. Seems like a really really good man! One thing about his style that always worries me is how square to his opponents he always is. His striking is just so good he almost can get away with it at all times, but it still puts you in the easiest place to be hurt as well.
