I absolutely love watching your videos! I see them pop up on my Facebook all the time. Thank you so much for sharing your beetle life. I have a 67 and I love her very much. Your videos have helped me along working on mine. Girl power 🌸
I wish I had found your channel sooner, Facebook brought me here somehow today, and I spent the evening watching the videos through this one. Great work! I remember when I counted on my 69 Beetle for daily transportation, and your struggle to get the carb tuned brought back many memories for me. Thank you for that. At least you didn't have to have the car running to get you to work the next morning! I look forward to watching the rest of your series.
NIce and tidy factory cooling flaps installed into the doghouse cooler! Respect. There sure is a lot of opinions on these. My 1600 SP engine has them and the thermo is functional and adjusted.
Hi, Annie well young Lady I`m impressed 👏🏻it`s not easy to do that kind of work but you managed it very well finally you got the engine running well done ❤️what I always have in mind is learning by doing⚒ and an old saying is and step forwards is the same distance of one step back again🤔. I respect your diligence to get the job done💥. and your efforts did pay off congrats on the great progress.🇺🇸☮️🙏🏻🇳🇴🇳🇱greetings. Hubertus of course I left an abo on your channel at the same time
Great work on that engine, we all learn on our way and you did a fine job on your first engine build. it all has to work together so it has to be fine tuned. congrats with the first build Annie.
Thank you! It’s been a lot of fun to learn some new things! A little bit of problem solving along the way is to be expected. And I suspect I’ll continue to have to problem solve as I go. But that’s always a great time to learn something new!
You’re doing great! You’ll make mistakes, learn and move forward. No one knows everything especially when they first start out. The fact you rebuilt your first VW engine, it’s running well is absolutely remarkable! The tweaks will come in time.
Thanks Gary! It’s true, the tweaks will come. I still have some fine tuning to do. We’re running a little rich, so I still have a thread I need to pull on. Hopefully trying out a different main/idle jet combo will help!
Congratulations! Your determination is impressive to say the least. I've seen people give over less. The frustration of trying to get a motor to run and then run right can really wear on you but you persevered and it paid off!
Thanks for your comment! It feels like a little patience and perseverance paid off in the end. A little tuning still to do, but so happy with the results.
