I love my Veranda. No wood of any kind in the boat. No brackets between the toons and no need for a "performance" shield. I know that most pontoons are built well but the no wood is what sold me.
Looks real nice Tom. Man, sure wish I could work as fast as you guys!! 3 of you stripped and put together a toon in what…10 minutes?!! 😂 You mentioned the cost of rejuvenating a pontoon. Well I finished my 24’ this spring. Took it down to the cross members and 2 pontoons. Keep in mind I was on a budget and I did much like you, converting a 1991 with worn out carpet, flaking plywood and badly worn/ripped/missing seats, to a new, much more user friendly layout with the basic style seats, vinyl flooring and basic consul. All in, with the new wiring, new lighting, new stereo and a second forward mounted bimini, I’m into this project about $15,000, not including the cost of the boat, which was $7000 and a newer Honda motor for $5000. All this was Cd$ So hindsite, could I have paid less for an equally nice pontoon…probably. Would I have been as proud of it as I am of mine…don’t think so. Plus, I now know every inch of this boat. Every screw, every washer, every nut, every bracket is S/S. All wiring splices won’t pull apart as every one is butt joined, soldered and shrink wrapped. Nothing is exposed to rough edges and everything works as it’s sposed to and as I want it to!! And that was all done with help from you and your amazing videos!! So a special shout out and thanks to you and your crew, Tom!!! You guys and gal…rock!!!
