Girl the fact that I saw you single placing almost all of that part literally made my jaw drop in a good way. Bravo for doing that because I could NEVER.
You are the only diamond painting youtuber i care about - i love the way you edit, your choice of music in this video was GREAT, and the way you talk, i love you girl!! Good luck with the painting!
Hi!!! Ok I have a lot of tips 1. When using AB drills I would suggest using putty (and what they meant by dirty wax is used wax) 2. Don’t use the 4 drill placer!!! Diamond art club kits usually come with 7(I don’t remember) but use those! 3. Pace yourself! I like to draw out sections to make it seem like a smaller task! That’s all the tips I have for now I personally (now) order all my diamond paintings from diamond art club and they are the best diamond paintings I’ve ever gotten
Ooh I’m surprised you’re tackling this one already, but I’m so excited to see it come together 🐱 You are absolutely my favorite diamond painting UA-camr, so I’m thrilled whenever I see a new video is out. Your editing and scripts are so good, and the videos are quite engaging. I love watching you work and hearing your process. While you probably know a lot more than I do, I do find a good pen and a solid multiplacer tool really helps to speed up the process. I’ve been using the 7-placer on a round kit I’m doing now, and it’s helping me fly through those color block chunks. You can also use the multiplacer to multiplace smaller amounts. I use it for anything more than 2 in a row by just picking up however many I need from the top of the lines of drills in my tray.
I know I mentioned before but DAC's metal multiplacers are a game changer, and you will never use plastic again. They are insanely quicker and easier to use! I pretty much only do massive paintings. My first was 82k drills, my biggest finish was 121k, and the one I'm doing now is my biggest at 161k drills. You can't roll up square drills as easily as rounds, so start on one side and don't jump around the canvas if you can help it, and work in managable sections. As others have said, putty is your best friend, and I can place 10k drills on one fill of putty vs a couple hundred with pink wax! You can also use a damp cloth to tap the end of the pen on, and it makes it less sticky for placing ABs. Enjoy!
I think you’re doing a great job. When I tackle a large canvas, I like to use release paper to help me section off workable areas. Also, someone else mentioned this, but multiplacing is your friend. I found the 7 placer that comes with the kit to really help speed up areas where there’s a lot of color blocking. For AB’s… I use tweezers. Those work for me
So when my normal drills can’t be picked up anymore because the wax has lost its stickiness, I use that wax for my AB drills. Works great!! I’m also all about multi-placer tools when possible. Saves so much time!!!
I don't think YT will let me link to it in the comment, but Diamonds and Washi made a great video about her tips for diamond painting faster. Highly recommend! But also remember (like she says) it's not a race - this hobby was meant to be relaxing and enjoyable, not stressful! I do a lot of big diamond paintings and they take me months, but I figure I'm getting my money's worth that way. :) Part of what helps me not burn out on them is that I usually work on more than just one diamond painting project at a time. I typically have at least one round and one square kit going at once, and I try to make sure they have different color palettes and levels of colorblocking vs confetti, so if one feels really slow, I can work on the other and feel like I get a lot more done. 😺
This would be a good kit to use those release papers to section off these big canvases. I only use a 4 multiplacer as I get better placement than with the 7. The metal multiplacers are amazing, but I also use the plastics. Also pace yourself. I set a limit based on the section I have made using my release papers (ie I might dedicate to completing 2 sections and then moving on with my day) 💜
Wow that is a huge painting! I haven’t worked on a painting with squares or ABs yet. I’ve been trying to finish a pretty decent sized painting myself that’s taken at least over a month. Good luck with your painting. Look forward to seeing it complete!
Dont overwork yourself. Take breaks, the more breaks you take the more energy you will have to complete it. Make sure to drink plenty of water and eat a lot of food.
Im doing this one now. Nearly done after a month, another row & a half to go. its my favourite piece yet! (Tip for abs, use tweezers to place them and they wont lose their coating)
When placing ABs I learned to have a wet paper towel or even a little piece of a wet sponge next to me. Dip your pen (with your wax in it) into the wet paper towel and then pick up your AB drill. It doesn’t stick to your pen and there is no residue!
Great video! The time lapse is awesome and your sense of humor is adorable :) The only advice I can think of, that I, myself am trying to learn, is to get better with multi placing. This is a beautiful canvas with some really great color blocking. Keep up the great work! It looks amazing 🎉
I have yet to try square drills - hopefully soon! I am out of diamond art projects to work on while watching so today’s project is a watercolour storybook for my niece!
Sectioning + cutting with washi and an exacto knife can help square off manageable sections, or release paper. Multiplacers are amazing too! You can get them up to 15 (iirc), or get a wheel pen which will pick up even more but is harder to use. Putty helps a lot with AB drills, I use Art Dot's putty and it comes with a ton for $10!
I actually often have more trouble when I'm placing AB's with putty than with the red wax, because there will remain some putty on the AB's and it's almost impossible for me to clean them all up. But if both (putty or wax) is driving me crazy, I'm trying to place them with tweezers. It will take a little longer because you cannot multiplace but at least it's working.
Don't Diamond Art Club paintings come pre-sectioned? Mine did (I got Gift From the Void as my first and only canvas that isn't a mini because I love the image). You can just for the perforated lines in the plastic cover. I think those sections are one to two hours long depending on the gems, art, canvas size, and your pace/ way of working.
Newer ones do! The older ones just have a single sheet of unbroken plastic. I usually section that kind off with washi tape. But I love the new perforated sections!
🐱🐱 that's a beast of a painting omg 😲 but it's so cute 😍 I don't have any tips for diamond paintings besides having some good podcast or an audio book to listen to while crafting as well as some music too 😊
Also I was the the person that said the "dirty wax." 😅 Umm, I guess I phrased that weirdly. I meant to say that I put wax in my stylus and never add more to it. I really don't know how to explain, but I guess I put all my anger into the stylus and the diamond that I don't need a special stylus for the av's. Sorry I can't explain well. However, I really appreciate that you actually read our comments and try your best to reply to each. Every time I comment on your video, you reply. As you grow your channel, that may not be the case, but thank you for inspiring me and listening to your subscribers, unlike many other UA-camrs. 💕💕
You got done way more than I thought you would. I am def not as fast as you are. You are practically an expert with all the practice! Keep it up! I can't wait to see it done. R u goin' to frame it? I hope you film that part as well.
Another tip is if you are feeling overwhelmed it’s okay to work on a smaller canvas to get that sense of achievement again before going back to the bigger one
Do you have a video of your camera set up? that you did to make this video and others? when you want to zoom in and out do you need to do it on the camera or can you do it on the computer as your doing the video?
@ it’s super easy if you learn like 3 different types of stitches you can make bags blankets hand warmers pretty much most things you should definitely try it
It's time you get a better pen and use multiplacer. You will be at least 4x faster! DAC sells pens where you can screw in the placers, and they are gorgeous!
You should watch this art channel Minori, she does diamond paintings too! She sections her paintings by drawing grids to help estimate how much each square will take. Check her out! The most recent one she did was a Power Puff Girl diamond painting in her van 😊 You got this!!🐈😸
so what i do is to be determend and to use grips on the pen and to give you a lay out for the arm you are not using so you can spend more time and have more blood flow is your body and you can do it im rooting for you
I think you should be more confident in your multi placing cuz those areas look way better than the single placed ones…but another thing you can always try a straightener too… with dirty wax you can do it how you said and mix it around or use the wax right before you change it…cuz then it doesn’t hold on to the abs as much as new wax…don’t know if that made sense…btw what are you using for over head angle..🐱hope you keep doing diamond paintings I love your videos and the chaos ensued 😂😂😂
I love your videos keep up the good work❤ also from your last video you said if we like long videos or short videos, I prefer your long videos cause I Diamond paint while watching your vids🐱

ofc!!!! It doesn’t rip out of the pen like wax does!
Riah: I am never going to do a diamond painting bigger than this. Future Riah: hey guys. idk why I bought this but it has 150,000 diamonds.
Lmaooooooooo stooooop🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😭😭😭😭😭 why do you know me so well 💖💖💖💖💖

Yes! Not a putty girl but I 100% am a DAC metal placer girl. I won’t use any other multiplacers. They are the best by far.
This is SO HELPFUL !! Thank youu!!! 💖💖💖
I know the AB’s are difficult to place, but they are so worth it. Can’t wait to see this huge project complete. 🐱

Awesome video the AB drills are so gorgeous and the square drills line up well 😊 this painting will take a while but it will be a nice canvas
I can't believe you did so much ❤️❤️❤️👏👏👏👏👏

U Are So Funny 😂 Hang In There & Keep Up The Good Work 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
This is going to be fantastic when you are done😸
I like to section out my large diamond arts! Makes it feel more doable 🐱
I’ll try that !! Thank youuu !!! 💖💖💖💖💖

That is a big one. Awesome canvas. I love big canvases, but ya as someone said, take breaks, makes a huge difference. Thanks for sharing.

I'm excited to see the full result! Can u make this a series or like a challenge?😺
Im doing this one now. Nearly done after a month, another row & a half to go. its my favourite piece yet! (Tip for abs, use tweezers to place them and they wont lose their coating)
For ab's, wet your pen tip either in a wet paper towel or dip it in a pop top and dab off before painting. It really helps!
When placing ABs I learned to have a wet paper towel or even a little piece of a wet sponge next to me. Dip your pen (with your wax in it) into the wet paper towel and then pick up your AB drill. It doesn’t stick to your pen and there is no residue!
🐱 I find making myself mini goals like finishing a cat or a tin or a packet helps to get through a giant canvas. You're doing good girl.❤
that's crazy big and you've done amazing!! I can't believe how long these pieces take 😮😮
Great work! Xx
Great video! The time lapse is awesome and your sense of humor is adorable :) The only advice I can think of, that I, myself am trying to learn, is to get better with multi placing. This is a beautiful canvas with some really great color blocking. Keep up the great work! It looks amazing 🎉

This design is cute and fun! Ok and the music choices for this video are 🙌🏻
I recomend masking off a section that is smaller. Take small chunks at a time. 😊

Is it better to have ur hair up or down to do diamond paintings
Incredible amount of work Riah, proud ❤
Gracieeeee💖💖💖💖💖💖 thank you queen!!!!!
Just out of curiosity. Do you ever place one wrong? What happens then? What do you do!?
Love your picture choice! They're so cute!
I don't have the patience for diamond painting. You're awesome for even attempting this 🤣
I personally like to section my canvas off with release papers so it seems more manageable and possible to actually finish
That diamond painting is so pretty. 😍❤️ I wish I can get it for my husband. Btw love your hair is so gorgeous.

My favorite thing about diamond arts are that they have pretty AB drills.
