I never imagined I would meet such wonderful people because of the virality of this video who would encourage me in my personal art journey. I'll try to be posting more regular things, taking baby steps for now, as my personal life is quite packed. Again, THANK YOU so much for making the yearly pilgrimage to this video!

Probably because it's the one thing that reminds him that he was human. From what I remember of Jeff's story, he did care for his brother. So seeing his brother's grave get smashed, of course he'd get angry.
I think it's that he had to face that he was out matched and he looked for anything that could reenforce his delusion and thus trigger himself. I don't think he actually cared, I think he just used it for the situation. Tricking himself that he cared for the moment because it benefited him. I've done the same thing in certain situations. Like when I was in cross country and track, I'd imagine the person in front of me as the guy responsible for everything wrong with me, then I'd run so much harder. Then when I cought up, I just transferred that delusion to the next guy. If I was in first place, I'd switch my mentality to that of an elitist and force my temporary delusional superiority onto the other students and run so hard it caused serious injuries. But I won. I believe Jeff did something similar. Mind you, this is just a nicely animated music video and it probably was intended to be the way you stated, but that the beautiful thing about perspective. It allows for more than one. This is simply what I saw in this example. Also, that whole mental switching thing, I learned better control over it and now I can be whatever I need for nearly any situation. But you can't use what you don't already have. I can only use existing pieces of myself and remove certain characteristics to alter the effect. It works great when you're having a PTSD induced meltdown.

That's why when I hear the song, it goes all the way back to this moment, the art. And like, wow. Coming to visit and view it again, with almost 38M views. It still hits different, all of it. Part of true nostalgic. I'm glad it was. ^^
The fact that seeing Liu’s grave gave Jeff the boost he needed. Like a mix of anger and a want to keep liu’s memory in this world. It shows that somewhere deep down, Jeff still cares about something.
I think the reason Jeff didnt want Liu to live knowing that Jeff,his own brother was a killer,so he killed him before he could hurt him again,but we all know Liu survived,and probably wants to track jeff down

And in Loy’s story when he survives he forgives Jeff because he also understand the killer urges because he himself gets them and he only wants to track him down to help him. MEANWHILE! Sully on the other hand has apparently disowned Jeff, but has shown signs that he may still care for Jeff in some way
