Randy, I hardly ever fished jigs until watching your channel. Now I pour and paint my own heads , tie my own skirts,and dye some of my trailers. It's become one of my most dependable lures all year long. Appreciate your time and expertise.
Cutting strands changes the buoyancy of each strand, when the buoyancy of each strand is different, the skirt will flare, as opposed to all the strands of the same buoyancy laying down. Hope this helps the understanding of why we do this.
I don’t know why but the super chunk threaded on always works better for than any tipped trailer. Ever since pork came off the market I’ve never done well with a plastic imitator. Do they still make pork that isn’t way over priced?

Dude that color combo wouldn't get bit here in Oregon in 5 years.
I hope they make some with tensil .. Green and Orange color ; Green and Chartreuse
