Guilmon's entire line was designed for destruction and it always showed when his eyes slit in battle. He's definitely one of the best and needs a gentle. It's a good thing that he has such a kind tamer.
Unlike any other digimon with their own personality, Guilmon was created by a middle school student, it make sense that his destruction ability is as high as a teenager's imagination. it explained his unstable emotion too.
Personally, I think it's really cool. While he is potentially dangerous if he's not careful or grows careless, it also means he has the potential to become a powerful warrior of good. In a way, it's resemblant of some people in the real world who have the potential for bad just as much as they have the potential for good, and what they choose is entirely dependent on those around them and their environment.
seeing footage from digimon rumble arena 2 brings back so many memories, loved that game as a kid, and guilmon and the tamers season it's probably my most favourite things ever
I adored that choice in Tamers. While it makes sense that a Digimon's traits would mature with evolution, in the first two seasons, it sometimes felt like different characters were replacing the kid's partner Mon (Most egregious with Patamon and Angemon). Keeping the voice unchanged does a lot to sell that evolutions are still the same character, just in a different form.
This line makes me have so many questions about how it came to be lore wise. I mean Guilmon was created by outside influence and yet he digivolves into a royal knight, one of the four great dragons which also is the digimon Chaos Dukemo, and has a digimon line that is stated to be his true form.
Well takao online designed the first 2 evolutions ( guilmon and growlmom) so from ultimate and onwards those are natural evolutions. Basically they existed but ebolved from something else othet than guilmon line?
I just assume things are in different universes. Takato creating guilmon is only a Tamers thing. Adventure is in a different universe than Tamers, so guilmon must just exist there

After all those years I have yet to see any series have a better digivolution scene than the Rookie (Child) to Champion (Adult) from Tamers. The music, the animation and just the whole direction of the scene still hypes me up to this day!

about chaos dukemon....his shield name is gorgon and i read in some korean novels (so i dont know if accurate) that the shield aegis fromn arthena has the head of an gorgon implanted on it. So maybe since the lance is just a different name for the same thing this was also the meaning behind the shields name.

There's a variance of the Guilmon species that's a vaccine-type that doesn't have a different name but its coloration is very much different and is known by the fandom as Golden Guilmon.
I would also imagine that it is also because Dukemon/Gallentmon is a walking contradiction being a fully realized virus which they are supposed to crush without hesitation, yet his holy powers are on par if not higher than most of the other holy knights. Kind of like how many virus scanners will panic at some custom software because it has arbitrary executors.

Megalogrowmon (Orange) can actually digivolve into Medievaldukemon, which is kinda fitting since they're both data attribute. The only thing it's actually lacking to have a "proper" dedicated digivolution line (so to speak) is a child form, as there's no "orange" Guilmon yet (the closest there is to that is... Patamon, who's orange, data attribute and can digivolve into Growmon (Orange)).

I just hope one day Bandai will re-release Pendulum X that has Guilmon X where it can evolve to Medieval Dukemon. I am confuse why Bandai put Dracomon X in Digimon X V1 Blue, while they also insert Growmon X, Megalogrowmon X, Megidramon X and Dukemon X inside it. While for Digimon X 3 Yellow, they did put Dorumon, Dorugamon, Doruguremon, Alphamon & Alphamon Ouryuken inside it. This seem not very fair for Guilmon X.

After some time, surviving on his own, he was then given a Second Chance by a King: Gallantmon Crimson Mode, and had made a deal to serve the King to gain back its Rankings, or to have its legacy forever forgotten; Resulting in resetting his entire power back to Jyarimon.
With the Deal made, The King had blessed RustGallant to gain the strength of an Ultimate Digimon and Enchanted his Sword into a Rusty Gram, and his Shield into a Rusty Aegis. To Gain back the Strength of a Mega Digimon (Which is Gallantmon (Orange)), Their Quests for Its new King must be made.
Some of RustGallantmon's Attacks are:
Rusty Saber; A powerful blow delivered by his Gram, uses his own Armor to throw shards of Rust at his opponents, reflecting damage upon himself, but cause massive damage and a big chance to poison the opponent.
RustGallantmon, though Blessed by his King, did not have his Shield Blessed enough to Perform a Final Elysium. However, it did not mean he wasn't able to perform any Shield Attacks. He can throw his own Shield at the opponent that can Cut and Slice through Flesh and metalized armor; nicknaming his move: Shield of the Rust (Or Final Buzzsaw)
Other Attack Include Jousting Strike (where he Lunges with his Lance)
Shield Bash (where he Strikes or Tackles with his Shield)
and Grit (where he lives for very little health it has left as a Last Resort, but cannot use it again.)
Megalogrowmon (Orange) can actually digivolve into Medievaldukemon, which is kinda fitting since they're both data attribute.
The only thing it's actually lacking to have a "proper" dedicated digivolution line (so to speak) is a child form, as there's no "orange" Guilmon yet (the closest there is to that is... Patamon, who's orange, data attribute and can digivolve into Growmon (Orange)).

I just hope one day Bandai will re-release Pendulum X that has Guilmon X where it can evolve to Medieval Dukemon.
I am confuse why Bandai put Dracomon X in Digimon X V1 Blue, while they also insert Growmon X, Megalogrowmon X, Megidramon X and Dukemon X inside it.
While for Digimon X 3 Yellow, they did put Dorumon, Dorugamon, Doruguremon, Alphamon & Alphamon Ouryuken inside it.
This seem not very fair for Guilmon X.
