I appreciate the distinction between metaphysical and metaphorical teaching methods. I'm listening to this in preparation for a lecture series where I'll be teaching a 3-day introduction to systematic theology to Congolese pastors and evangelists. It would be an understatement to say they cannot comprehend the caliber of the metaphysical teaching in this lecture. Yet many of their questions are precisely about these kinds of issues. Now all I need to do is beef up on my metaphorical handling of these issues :) Piece of cake, right? Good stuff.
