Thanks for bringing one of these videos back! Sometimes you have to get creative with meals especially today with rising food prices. I’ve really been trying to not waste food, sometimes making less than we need of something, because I can always scrounge up a side dish to fill in. Great video Tory.
Most people don’t have stock in the freezer so boullion is reasonable. If I had room in my freezer I would freeze onion, celery, carrot scraps etc until I had enough to make stock. Now I just make it & use it right away.

I love that 15 bean soup but cannot eat it anymore. Those are wondrrful foodstuffs for lots of good healthy meals. One of my college professors always told us that his mother always had a pot of some kind of beans or soup on the back burner of the stove, irregardless of what else was being cooked that day. Because you never knew if someone including family would come in and be hungry. Merry Christmas, its almost here and God Bless.

It just shows you that you can have tasty delicious food by using what you have. Adding beans, potatoes and rice can really stretch ingredients. Great additions to save money. 40% inflation since last year. Now it's more like $14 to $15 a week. If you need to survive, a bag of rice can stretch far and you'll not die of starvation.

I never buy canned goods!!! My budget is 37 euros per week, with fresh vegetables and meats!!! Here's my groceries: A sack of carrots ( 1.00 euro), a bag of onions 1.87 euros, 1 spinach 1.99 euros, 1 kg sugar .85 cents, 24 eggs 3.20 euros, butter 5 euros, 1 bag of potatoes 2.25 euros, 6 sausages 8 euros, 1 bread 1.99 euros, 1 jelly 1 euro!!! plus 15 euros oranges!!! This is very cheap healthy meals for one week!!! and oh, "pork 2.25", to pair with beans and rice....rice 1 euro!!!i'm good with this for a week, and a bunch of bananas for 1.79!!!TOTAL = 28.19 euros---------------------------------------and, mind you, there's no canned beans here!!! I pressure cooker my beans for 15 mins on low heat!!!beans cost2.20 a kilo, and i only need a fourth of it per meal!!!and oh, for healthy more , for the orange juice on 15 euros, that's 43.19!!!it's less than 50 euros a week!!! and all fresh vegetables...and a banana per day!
Very different here in the US especially now, I made this video a year ago. An average family of five is struggling. They spray our produce with a ton of chemicals, so buying non organic is no longer an option for us. Good quality food is expensive and if we give into the crap ingredients the government feeds us then we will have to pay for all the medication for the debilitating diseases we get. I agree, we need to garden and preserve more though. Buying canned food is just fine, if that is all you have 🫶

Welcome ❤️ I’m aware of the owner’s reputation, but the food is good and they donate their leftovers to my local pantry. The tip was to grab the day old bread for 50 cents a lot of people in this community need ways to save in their area. If I chose to not support every company that has a “bad,”owner, we would be living with close to nothing. I will promote ways to get people fed over reputation any day ❤️
