Hillsdale College is an independent institution of higher learning founded in 1844 by men and women “grateful to God for the inestimable blessings” resulting from civil and religious liberty and “believing that the diffusion of learning is essential to the perpetuity of these blessings.” It pursues the stated object of the founders: “to furnish all persons who wish, irrespective of nation, color, or sex, a literary, scientific, [and] theological education” outstanding among American colleges “and to combine with this such moral and social instruction as will best develop the minds and improve the hearts of its pupils.” As a nonsectarian Christian institution, Hillsdale College maintains “by precept and example” the immemorial teachings and practices of the Christian faith.
The College also considers itself a trustee of our Western philosophical and theological inheritance tracing to Athens and Jerusalem, a heritage finding its clearest expression in the American experiment of self-government under law.
By training the young in the liberal arts, Hillsdale College prepares students to become leaders worthy of that legacy. By encouraging the scholarship of its faculty, it contributes to the preservation of that legacy for future generations. By publicly defending that legacy, it enlists the aid of other friends of free civilization and thus secures the conditions of its own survival and independence.

Michael Doran at his best here. He has the most comprehensive view of the Middle East and is the best strategic thinker on the right today.

Thank you Michael for explaining the Middle East and it history of negotiations and how they have failed. President Trump listened to the key players and helped them make the peace agreements that they wanted. Listen first for understanding! Those who do not agree to play by rules of peace, refuse to move forward with them, don't keep giving them money when they hate us, then we move on with those who will. Great Plan for its time. Thanks for explaining this so we can understand what has been happening in the different world views.

    Great speech! Tons of knowledge!
Some people on here found the delivery lacking. It didn't bother me at all. But I've yet to meet the perfect person and will take what I get. And I got a lot out of this speech.

@@maripogi7 Okay, I get that you didn't like his delivery. But did you even listen to the words between the "uhs". These are complex issues and he has a lot to say; more time would have been nice. What's also nice is now you can go read his articles. I bet a good editor took out the "uhs."

@@sville0513 Are you serious? More time? He did NOT want more time but less. In one of his awkward uh-um-uh's he actually checked his phone hoping the allocated time was over. No, still another 20 min. 'How on earth am I going to fill those', he wondered.

Fighting in Nagorno Karabakh had resumed and you can and you can tie back to the JPCOA: just another example of how Obama screwed up the Middle East specifically, and the US position and the geopolitical status quo generally.

Ironic, funny, and proud of his Princeton degrees all at the same time. Highly conflicted. I can relate. I have an Eng Lit degree. I am conflicted, pulled in two directions , up and down. Up. Yeah , Eng Lit ( liberal arts in general) is our patrimony, our culture, everybody should study this stuff. Down. Liberal arts are 100% captured and corrupted by woke fxxx wits intent on making people stupid. So HOW do I feel about it? Difficult to make it out.

Back to the Obama administration, just see how the Iran non proliferation nuclear could ever be possible because Iran was close to China and Russia, that’s a leverage for the then US government to think that need to engage Iran other than recognise Iran is the source of problems. The Iran nuclear deal is a fatal failure because the the. Obama administration did not recognise the nature of an authoritarian regime. Help to thrive a country like Iran is equal to help prosper a as country like North Korea!

What people like this guy are well aware of I’m sure but what he’s not saying is that Iran’s nuclear program is a direct response to U.S. foreign policy.
No matter what approach you take, you would never be rid of Iran’s nuclear program unless you change U.S. foreign policy. Neither the neo-libs or neo-cons want to do that.
Trump’s policy was to apply to maximum pressure on Iran to force them to the negotiating table which was unrealistic and all it did was push Iran further away from the negotiating table and closer to Russia and China.
The U.S. isn’t the most consequential stake holder in the Middle East anymore. Russia has proven it is more than willing to defend its interest in the region, it’s the main reason why Assad is still in power in Syria. The U.S. would have Qadhdhafi’d Assad if not for Russian intervention. It was the Russians who defeated ISIS. Not to mention China’s growing financial influence over the whole world.
Nothing about Trump’s foreign policy approach worked. He couldn’t even contain a virus of foreign origin though he had the resources and a system had been tested and put in place.
    Which ultimately costed him reelection.

If he had to do anything with foreign policy no wonder we are all in trouble with our foreign affairs.. He spoke for an hour and said nothing at all just like a politician.. Makes me think about the poor American Indians and what they said about white man policy makers, "white man speak with forked tongue"..if we would just stay home and mind our own business the world would be a better place and our wonderful and great military men and women would not be getting killed for nothing at all..that's my two cents worth 🤔😁🤗
