about 14 years ago, studying to get my both CCNA R&S and CCNA Voice, I spent hours, days and months studying with Jeremy Cioara's CBT nuggets. It's nice to see you again Jeremy, time flies but you wont get old😀
Stumbled onto this channel looking for some training on Proxmox (I'm an ESXi guy) Wow! It's Jeremy Cioara. I never comment, but had to leave a "Thanks dude", for helping me climb that mountain that is the CCNA. Dude, massive respect from one of your CCNA students back in 2008!!
Hi Viatto, I am trying to log on my proxmox VE free web interface, and it does not work: login and password error. Does the login have to be the default pv.home please ? Thank you so much and please receive my Greetings from the french Alps near Grenoble, Michel
Awesome stuff! I was hoping to find a proxmox networking play list. I am want to set up a way for 2 VM to each other without going outside of the proxmox server. A use case for this is when your hosting TrueNAS and you want to mount a NFS share on another VM.
Great videos, love the excitement ! ! Do you have any tips on best method and practices (and the most secure) to remote connect to the Proxmox VE Server Web console UI without connection going through some sort of central pipe, like VPN or Cloudflare or such. I want to connect to my Proxmox Web UI remotely as I travel a lot and don't want messy subscriptions either.
Spent a week locked out of my proxmox and this video helped me. The nano command help me fix my machine. Can you help with something else? I have 3 ethernet connectors and 2 is used for OpenWRT and 1 is used exclusively for logging into proxmox using a different IP subnet(192.168.1.109) vs the OpenWRT uses 192.168.0.1). I don't know what I need to do to give the Proxmox internet access from the OpenWRT. I know it has something to do with bridges, but I'm not sure what to do. eth0=Proxmox, eth1=wan, eth2=lan. Thanks for the help.
I can t seem to find the benefit combining a 10gbe connection with 1gbe one. Why don t you just create a second vmbr2 based on that port and use 2 ports of the same speed with LACP mode for example? Now here comes my question. If you have a bridge based on a bond and that bond of course is based on >= 2 ports, in which field you should change the MPT number (let s say the ports are all 10gbe) in order to enable jumbo frames? Because each field (port, bond, bridge) gives the option to set it on each own window. PS Of course the same goes from the switch side. You have to change the MTU option on the corresponding ports.
Great video however I'm all about nested virtualization now. I don't have a basement all of my gear is in my home office so a big focus is zero noise and heat.
Okay, that video explained me nothing. Sry, but i came to this video because i have an issue with my proxmox instance and you talked over 7 mins and you scratched a couple of topics, but you didn't show: - How do VMs get IP adresses? - How do they "go outside"? THOSE are the basics i wanted to know! :(

Did you figure this out? I'm trying to do the exact same thing.

Cheers for the awesome explanation mate! I am rather new to proxmox and from beginner standpoint your explanation was great for guys like me.
Excellent video, your cource link does not work.

Good video for proxmox Network information.
mm so basic.... but thnx, i need a 2 gw config with 2 nics in each hosts....
Couldn't make it through the flubs, stammering and goofs. Please edit your stuff and use clean takes, this is very frustrating to watch.
