Wish you weren't so strict on the timer. It's good for level where you are clearly making little to no progress, but several of those levels could have easily been played through to the end, and would make the video more worth watching.
Agreed! This was a great video otherwise! I'd rather see more videos like this but 2-3 fewer levels per video so that way the levels could be completed.

The problem with terrible troll levels, is there's at least some chance those blocks behind the goal are turn blocks, and the answer involves waiting on the 'bottom' floor for a falling p-switch to appear or something equally obnoxious.
Hey, Dave! It’s Dave! The reason the pipe can spit out multiple power ups is because of “progression power-ups”. You can make these in the level maker in both games by dragging a mushroom onto most power ups (including the big mushroom here), or in mm2, tapping and holding most power ups and selecting the mushroom icon. This makes it so that if the player is small mario when it comes out of the pipe/the block, it will be a mushroom. However if the player is BIG mario when it comes out of the block/comes out of the pipe, it will be a mega mushroom.
Well, I mean, someone cleared a level that I made that tried to be as impossible as possible without it being super hard. I can give the level code if you want.
I think he’s more savvy than he may make out in his regular troll videos. I have a feeling he was playing the troll levels more authentically so as to not waste time on the trolls as he was on a timer. Whereas on the troll specific episodes, he wants to try out most of the trolls, and sometimes plays it up a bit at the same time. That’s just my take though
I found another cheese in my level! In the hint room, you can throw the pow to the on off, then put a pow underneath the pipe. That way, you can get out of the hint room with the on off switched back.
The guy who spent 8 hours trying to beat the worse troll level made by a nobody though it was a great idea to play troll levels made by his subs AKA the most time consuming types of levels in Mario Maker with an strict timer.
Agree with the disatisfasction from not finishing levels you could have. Also there was way too much screaming in this video, I saw one twitch comment say "well this is a stream I'll be muting." and I couldn't agree more!
In that upsidedown Bean Burrito level, at first when you had "beaten it" I was like, wow, that on/off switch must have been optional for some extra bravery and skill, and then thought you were just try hard to get high and hit the line of the goal tape to get a 1UP or somethin', and assumed you would then stuff it up and miss the line and it was pissing me off, but then I relaised of course, the right side of the goal tape is super foreground, and it covers up these On/Off Blocks
14:22. You see. When you have no power up, and run to a pipe that had a progressive power up of the girthy Mario, the pipe will spit out a regular mushroom, increasing your size considerably but not girth. If you rush you reblock the pipe and it doesn’t allow you to see that the mushroom was in fact a progressive power up that was unable to form since you hadn’t been powered up already. When you run to the right and find out you are stuck it causes you to wait around on your next attempt a bit to see what can change and sure enough after the pipe’s first regi mushroom there is a girthy shroom which has the progressive power up activated in the maker page, (which won’t spawn the big gertha unless you had a power up upon it’s (the pipe) spitting out it’s entrance/exit). You asked me to explain it to you like a five year old and I feel like it got over complicated so that nobody will understand. Meaning that is a good idea for some others to put in a troll just on the grounds of me being a bad explainer and nobody understanding unless they brain 🧠
Forced death area idea: in SMB3 chain chomps eventually unchain themselves after lunging enough times. You can decide what happens after that to kill the softlocked player.
The Chain Chomp automatically frees itself after waiting for 250 seconds. If Dave was dumb enough to already spend 250 seconds before the anti-softlock, he will die to the time up death instead of experiencing the Uno Mas, which is not good! Therefore, the best idea would be to put that anti-softlock right after CP1 or CP2. Also, the Chain Chomp doesn't really have to be freed. You can just bomb-clip to get the star behind his gate.
I still hold that the hardest bean burrito of all time was the pow transport level. That one took ridiculous patience and precision for the entire timer length.
