Thx for recordings and trade. My Diamond Heart version source is circulated DVD. I don't know other full concertvideo from classic Anvil era.
NO WONDER this is VHS quality, for best visuality you see fullscreened monitor with HD resolution from 2-3 meter in dark room.
Video:
- dark-light range wide, light video noise reduction (loss some little parts)
- balanced color from NTSC to PAL and re-powered color (loss color power from many transfer)
Audio: I think audio recorded from balcony (poor low frequency)
- little amount balance to low frequency and normalize
My personal favourite parts is absolutely Anvil-style songs: Mothra, Forged In Fire, Winged Assassins, Free As The Wind, Never Deceive Me with Dave vocal and Stop Me with Dave & Lips chorus.(sorry my english)

Well thank fuck this footage survived , this is such a great show, great energy and great chops . Lips running to the crowd while shredding those solos like nobodies business and owning it . Their young energy really comes through
Lips should watch this and then realise how much better they sounded with two guitars. Not the current money saving trio version of Anvil.
He'd probably give you some bullshit about how the extra guitar was never necessary because it 'drowns out' the drums or something. I've heard him say that a few times. As much I love Anvil, Lips is the king of self denial.
@@revivedfears : i think they're thinking more of a power trio.
@@duncandistortion they don't really play a style of metal conducive to just one guitar though. Why would they record rhythm tracks on album if it sounds better live with just 1? I've seen them live a few times and they do sound good but they would sound a million times better with another guitar especially when lips solos.
@@revivedfears Anvil is Robb and Lipps and I think adding to the lineup would take away from that. Its probably an ego thing, and id imagine the tour expenses would go up if there was a second guitarist which might not be an option for them.
@@thomasofthedeadx the only reason they don't have another guitarist is because they don't want to pay another guy. If they could get away with performing as a 2 piece I'm sure they would! lol
Lips is a very underrated guitarist, he was very active on stage whilst soloing & singing, the intro band photos were the best in that they had a more serious straight faced look, 'never deceive me' is one of my fave songs.

Robb Reiner is a fucking killing machine. That drum solo is like a panzer crushing through buildings. I had to turn the volume on full when that drum solo was on. Imagine if he joined Judas Priest or Motorhead. The guy is like a bull in a china shop.
Lips had a shot at Motorhead back in the days and rumour was Rob had interest from the Ozzy camp. Both remained true to Anvil.
In retrospect they should have taken the other spots to get their name brand up and then return to Anvil to elevate it higher.
I saw these guys back in 1980/1981 before they were called "Anvil." Thought they were great back then.

Oh man I love this band! I was on a trip to Australia last April when I heard metal on metal. I thought why the fuck have I not heard this band before!?..... Then I found the documentary film about them and realised why I hadn't heard of them because of all the shit they went through... These should be recognised as one of the greatest inspirational speed metal bands of all time if not the best! Absolutely fucking amazing... And finally in 2019 they have achieved their goal.... If passion burns inside then you will succeed 👍👍🤘🤘🤘 rock the fuck on everyone!

I subjectively much prefer Anvil but come on man, Metallica are overrated no doubt, but the quality of their best material is undeniable. Its way better than anything Anvil could dream of producing.
