    Can you please create a video how to learn Maltese on the rings? Thanks.

      It's something I plan to make in the future, but I just moved from my hometown and don't have access to gymnastics equipment here, so it may be a couple weeks/months.

    What do you think a straight arm forward roll to support would be? Regular azarian roll to support is a B but still really hard since it is like a dragged azarian maltese. Thinking B or C

      Interesting question, just by judging maltese vs. victorian difficulty, I would assume it would be a C. Elevating your body in that plane is so difficult.

      Doing it to handstand is a C

      Ian McKenna if you’re referring to a giant, that’s from a swing, whereas the rolling is without momentum, and has you level with the rings.

    I can Nakayama for reps now but still can't pineda :') it feels similar in difficulty to butterfly for me

      Interesting! Can you hold a front lever? Potential reason for that is strong push muscles, weaker pulling muscles.

      @@trainershatehimI'm actually stronger at pull skills but I injured my shoulder snapping into cross once and it's been weak and prone to injuries ever since. I was able to do force a straight arm pineda after commenting but it injured that shoulder again. I can all butterfly to cross as well but not all the way thru to support

    Would the iron cross have good transfer to the Planche and Back Lever? It’s a pull skill that uses pushing muscles?

      A cross uses both push and pull muscles, I could argue that your entire upper body is working to keep you in position, so yes, I think it carries over well. Having a cross doesn't necessarily mean you can do a planche though, so I would train both.

    Funny that you think Pineda is the easiest skill but all gymnasts do it BENT ARM.

    • @trainershatehim
      @trainershatehim  2 роки тому

      Perhaps you're right! And we don't see many gymnasts do it to this day. I still think working out those few inches of arm bend would be easier than learning the others, but I have no objective test to confirm that.
