An odd motivation but I was suddenly inspired by you saying that the 4-LR44 batteries were the same as 4 X 1 LR44 batteries (kinda obvious really). I hate button batteries, they're fiddly, I drop them, they roll off into the 4th dimension never to be seen again; until you hear them going up the vacuum hose. From now on its 4-LR44's for me. I went through the battery/torch box and checked out all those temperamental wee torches you amass from somewhere and put new LR44's in them, fiddled with them, checked the connections ..... chucked them. Suddenly I've got lots of LR44's kicking about turning the battery box into a castanet and the requirement for a new slimline torch.
@@thephotographersbag All the 'cheapo' shops have stopped selling wee torches, presumably because of the one on your phone. Will have to look online - what's the world coming to ?
