I haven't tried them in winter conditions, but I have read other reviewers who said they worked well. They probably are not as warm as winter sepacific boots, but their waterproof qualities would be good for snow.
I’m noticing an odd pressure pain on the inside of my right ankle and it looks like it’s coming from the end of the seam on the tongue, almost like a hard plastic type feel. Anyone experience this at all? Wondering if this is a defect on this particular shoe, or if they’re all like that 🤔
I have heard of this problem from one other person. I'm not sure if it is a fit issue or a defect since I have not experience it. I can tell you that I have had other pairs of hiking boots from other manufacturers that my feet just didn't like. If you bought them at a store, I would talk to them and see if you can try a different pair. It's no fun have a foot pain when you are out on the trail.
I work at a golf course and I've been using the cloud venture but I would like to get these especially for when we do some weedeating. Would yall recommend them for that grounds maintenance?
Oscar, I would recommend these for ground maintenance. Since they are water proof they would be good for those wet damp mornings on the golf course. Also, since they are a mid boot, they are higher than your current Venture. I believe that would make them good for weeding.
I got these delivered today and immediately noticed the connection piece between the tongue and the rest of the shoe being really badly made and digging into my ankles. Is this something you've experienced aswell? I'm going to have to send these back, for the price it is totally unacceptable and will just wear through my skin
Same for me. Unfortunately I bought these while out of town and noticed it digging into my ankles on a hike (left more so than right but both hurt). So I may be on the hook for these!
Erik, sometimes a boot just doesn't work for everyone. I have had other boots that were highly rated and a top name brand and they hurt my feet. It doesn't make them a bad boot. They just didn't work for me. Good luck finding a pair that work for you. ~ Best.
I live in a dry area so I have not had the opportunity to try them on much of a wet surface but I have used them on sandy rocks and trails. With the Missiongrip sole I found the Cloudrock's to have good traction.

I didn't have any issue with the fit or anything digging into ankles. They fit me comfortably. Maybe a mis manufactured pair?
@@kevinansel8034 Left side being considerably worse than the right does indicate faulty manufacture. But I believe it to simply also be bad design

I don't have any experience with the Cloudrock, but I can recommend the Cloudrock 2. I was not disappointed.
Is this a hybrid hiking boot?
I'm not sure what the true definition of a hybrid boot is, but these have a synthetic upper and are more robust than light hikers. I hope this helps.

Yes they are true to size. At least they were for me.
Does the toe box lean more towards wide? My concern is width since I typically go for a wide width for my shoes
The toe box is wider than my Vasque hiking boots. I find the width to be very comfortable for my foot.
