    Want to replace your fuel line? Here's what I used.
    Klein hose clamp pliers - amzn.to/2KpkVMK
    Dayco 1/4" fuel line (made in USA) - amzn.to/2MUuk0O
    The hose clamps are cheapest through McMaster Carr. 5324K12 (Rotor Clip HC-8)

      I have this same machine. Looks fairly identical with subtle differences; mine is a power shaft gt3200 😉😍🥳🙏👏 Please also tell me where the damnable oil drain plug is? 🥴🤣 And how much length of fuel line did you use, you never said? I commented before to ask but dont know where it went. If you could respond asap, that'd be awesome, I'm in the middle of this similar job right now 😅

    Your channel is much better than other one mentioned and not just because I tired of watching carburetor float bowls being cleaned. You read the service manuals and show respect for professional solutions. McGuyver fixes can be impressive, but sometimes bailing wire and chewing gum are the wrong answer.

    If there were clamps on it to begin with, it’s a good idea to keep some on there. I’ve had a situation where just the pressure build up in the tank in the summer pushed a fuel line off it’s fitting. The fitting wasn’t barbed, but a slight bulge around the circumference. It definitely needed a clamp behind that to hold the line on.

    Running about $250.00 in your case not running under $100.00 Musty gets a lot of stuff like that free. No deals like that around here. I agree with your father 1500 hours is the end of the world with those. We switched to liquid cooked diesel tractors over 20 years ago for this reason. I can get 3000 to 5000 hours on an F series Kubota easily and fuel consumption is probably almost half.

    • @WatchWesWork
      @WatchWesWork  5 років тому +1

      When I was a kid I had a mowing job in the summer. We had a John Deere 345 gasser and a 455 diesel. They used about the same amount of fuel per hour, but the 455 was mowing a foot more than the 345. Old mowers are worth a little more here I guess. $100 might get you a stamped out two blade unit. You never see them for free.

    I know this video came in a long time ago, but I hope you didn't sink that much money into it. A mower that age and in that condition is worth maybe $200, at best. I fix and flip a lot of them, so you definitely have to choose your battles carefully on one that age, and don't buy anything from a dealer if you have a cheaper option. Otherwise, you will take a loss. Your father was absolutely right though. You can normally get about 1500 hours out of a small engine. I have a Craftsman riding mower with a Kohler engine that has 1599 hours on it. The starter solenoid just went out and it needs new drag links, but it is still in great condition beyond that.

    One of the better Cub’s Wes. That’s a real nice find my friend. My old neighbor had the 3000 series or the next model, can’t really remember just know that thing was a tank and it looks just like yours. Same everything. He’d pull fairly large trailers around the property with it. I believe it also has a vacuum operated PTO engagement too which was very nifty.
    Edit: Never Fails. Should complete the video before I comment 😂
    We sell used tractors of similar capabilities for about 600, we also give credit towards brand new mowers for about 150 to 200 for your style mower.
