My favourite version of the pizza man sketch has mark calling broden a cunt after handing him the shoe and broden being completely taken aback and replying with "wow that's a bit much you didn't do that in rehearsals"
Between having to watch their language, and being pelted by popcorn, I really don't know how the boys held everything together. I guess they are true professionals.
Broden's look of pure terror as he comes out and realizes what's happened is incredible. What's even more incredible is how quickly he and the boys were able to make the necessary changes to their routine, even if the jokes still ended up going over the kids' heads.
I recommend listening to the weekly planet episode 360 where they explain they knew it was for kids but didn’t know how young they would be. They even mention Broden’s turn against the kids where he throws the popcorn back at them 😂
On the Weekly Planet Podcast, Broden said they were expecting teens. The look of shock on his face when he enters is because the audience is actually four year olds.
Kids throwing popcorn has to be the best heckle ever And i never realised gow agressive their show is. The kids didnt know if they were getting shouted at lol.. Zach recovered it though
Okay, continued on and realized this is a full-on child friendly version of Aunty Donna, I don't fully understand the context or location behind this here live performance, and I am now going to look for something else to watch.
Seeing aunty donna like this for the kids has brought me up at least 10 tier for the love & respect I have for them. This was amazing & I'm about to watch it for the fourth time in a row ❤️
"Wow Zac, your voice! Its giving me a - eh er um - conflictions!" I feel so bad for Auntie Donna in this video. The audience are so stale and they have to cut all the swears for the children.
This makes me realise alot of the aunty donna material I've seen over the years has been for kids, but with swear words and/or rude things & that makes my heart warm.
10 seconds in: Oh this isn't their usual demographic... 1 minute in: This is going to be painful to watch, isn't it? 5 minutes in: This is the best thing they've ever done.
Came here to watch this after Broden and Mark spoke about it on the Weekly Planet, and oh my I've not laughed so hard in ages, I love Aunty Donna even with the swears and rude bits but when Broden comes out at the start its just so funny at his panic. Its so much more funnier after hearing the story behind it as well!
Just listened to Mr Sunday movies where they talked about not knowing the crowd was kids. Amazing to see the fear in their eyes. This must have been the hardest gig
☼ 5:02 that moment in every show where the audience starts throwing popcorn - you either eat it or you eat it, you know? anyway they do eat it. [edit: look at the stage floor 7:10 ; 11:10 no escape]
The audience isn’t enjoying this as much as I am, although it might be funnier with the context of the boys trying not to swear in front of the kiddies.
i am constantly scared they will swear in front of the kids.... thats a weird feeling
joshua barmakov omg me too.
I'M JUST A STUPID (ahhh, mark you can't say stupid) ahhh I'M A SILLY I-TALIAN MAN
My favourite version of the pizza man sketch has mark calling broden a cunt after handing him the shoe and broden being completely taken aback and replying with "wow that's a bit much you didn't do that in rehearsals"
Same
Broden says hell.
Between having to watch their language, and being pelted by popcorn, I really don't know how the boys held everything together. I guess they are true professionals.
Are you zach ruane?
@@MrCutpasteare you.
Without the swearing, they do have big kids’ TV energy.
Indeed. But still weird to watch :)
That was my first thought when I saw Aunty Donna's Big ol House of Fun. Had a same energy to the Wiggles or Hi 5 shows.
I love that about them!
Broden's look of pure terror as he comes out and realizes what's happened is incredible. What's even more incredible is how quickly he and the boys were able to make the necessary changes to their routine, even if the jokes still ended up going over the kids' heads.
As a comedian that’s done gigs with unexpected amount of kids there, I can vouch that these fellas need medals
the pizza man sketch is too meta for the kids
I recommend listening to the weekly planet episode 360 where they explain they knew it was for kids but didn’t know how young they would be. They even mention Broden’s turn against the kids where he throws the popcorn back at them 😂
Yeah, but it's kinda silly so. It works that way.
@@rhodriwilliams2599 whats the time stamp?
@@conservativekiwi55612mate it's been 3 years I have no idea 😂
@@rhodriwilliams2599 this disapoints me. I hope you have dried your hogs.
hearing the childrens version of these sketches is so strange. all the usual swearing being erased is...'conflicting me'
James Tabbit ikr
You crumpet
On the Weekly Planet Podcast, Broden said they were expecting teens. The look of shock on his face when he enters is because the audience is actually four year olds.
I literally searched this up after hearing that over on Weekly Planet lol
Lol same
I've paused TWP podcast when they mentioned to look it up, and going back to the rest of the podcast now! haha
Which episode of weekly planet?
@@joshuawickens8218 The one where Aunty Donna were guests
All the angry stares of the parents are amazing
"Zach, your voice! It's conflicting me."
Had a mini heart attack
It's more kid-friendly than "Zach, your voice! It's giving me a stiffy."
"That was a bad choice in retrospect wasn't it."
Hahaha! I love you Marc.
The funny thing is the kids are gonna search Aunty Donna on UA-cam after the show and be horrified
i think their parents will be more horrified.
This made me laugh out loud very much hahaha
My god, that was fucking hilarious.
Your act made me laugh enough but Broden violently piffing popcorn back at the kid was gold
These kids don't even understand what just happened, but they're gonna grown up having witnessed perfection.
I love how censoring it totally changes it, but its still fun.
Aunty Donna + Children = bad idea
no its comedy gold kids were loving the popcorn
Joseph Murphy ikr
jesus christ, when broden caught the popcorn out of the air and ate it!
Amethyst my brother threw that piece
So tricky for them performing in front of kids, but Broden absolutely played that off so well!
big dad energy from Broden throughout this whole thing, makes me chuffled
You can see the fear in Broden's eyes as he walks out
Kids throwing popcorn has to be the best heckle ever
And i never realised gow agressive their show is. The kids didnt know if they were getting shouted at lol.. Zach recovered it though
I immediately paused the video when Zack got there and I realized the audience were children. I haven't pressed play yet but oh god I'm scared
Okay, continued on and realized this is a full-on child friendly version of Aunty Donna, I don't fully understand the context or location behind this here live performance, and I am now going to look for something else to watch.
Who’s here from weekly planet?
Haha me
Just here to check on the fear face. He sure didn't lie
What episode?
hahahahaha
hahaha i'm late
Imagine if they'd closed with "Morning Brown".
On the plus side we now have a Melbourne-based absurdist comedy scene to look forward to in about 10 to 20 years
I can’t tell if this is a train wreck or brilliant
I'm only 7:00 in and it just keeps spiraling. It's like a beautiful natural disaster. This is postmodernism
Both
Trainwreks are their best works
It's brilliant
I thought the tightrope joke would go over their heads.
Instead it ran along the floor.
They talked about this show on the Weekly Planet and I’m not disappointed. Their Netflix show is pretty sick too
The awkward energy is amazing
Which episode is it featured?
9:44 BRODEN IS JOINING THE KIDS THROWING POPCORN AT THEM 😂😂😂 How is no one else talking about this? 😂
Giving up on the sketch and turning it into a popcorn fight was so fun and cute XD
I'm not sure if 6 year old kids get the Icarus joke, but well done boys for trying!!
You never dumb down your art for the audience
@@beastiebear7231 They didn't, thats my point!
10/10 to the algorithm for recommending this to me after they talked about it on the Weekly Planet Podcast
What episode?
The popcorn was the worst/best idea
The parents in the back so unimpressed really makes it
Seeing aunty donna like this for the kids has brought me up at least 10 tier for the love & respect I have for them. This was amazing & I'm about to watch it for the fourth time in a row ❤️
I'm here because of the the mrsunday movies.
The Lord Whoopee sketch is perfect for this context lmao
"Oh my God, Zach! Your voice! It's conflicting me!"
I think the Aunty Donna boys have really missed their calling as children's entertainers. This is magic!
9:30 That kid’s immediate double thumbs up made that whole bit better.
"Wow Zac, your voice! Its giving me a - eh er um - conflictions!"
I feel so bad for Auntie Donna in this video. The audience are so stale and they have to cut all the swears for the children.
Lord woopy fits so well with kids. I wouldn't be surprised if parents in the audience thought aunty Donna was a children sketch group
Id have been so afraid if i was 9 years old and aunty donna came to my school
Tough crowd! Could have sworn you were going to slip up and swear too many times!
You crumpet!
Lmao the parents in the background look so done with this and the kids have no idea what is going on. Poor Aunty Donna boys...
And 3 years later, these boy would have their own Netflix special
9:43 "Get off the stage!"
Fuckin' heckled by children.
Brilliant.
I love that I could show Aunty Donna to my kids because of this. You guys rule.
Kids are the hardest audience
it sucked that the kids had no appreciation for auntie donna. All they thought was, OOh popcorn, ima throw it at them just like everyone else
Anyone here after hearing the Donna boys on the weekly planet?
What a wonderful disaster
Grab that gem! 😄
Hey d***head!
This makes me melt... hell yes. They were soooo good for the kids
Oh man I instantly started laughing out loud when they through the popcorn back. Best feeling I've had in a while. So wholesome.
They are trying so hard not to swear
Mark must have been doing everything in his power to not be vulgar as the pizza man.
I’ve never had so much anxiety about the possibility of someone swearing in front of a child
I feel so weird watching family friendly Aunty Donna
Melbourne International Popcorn Festival
@09:40 you can tell he realises his Icarus reference isnt quite suited to the audience
This went so much better than I was expecting.
I kept expecting Mark to call one of the kids a c*nt
This was fantastic! I'd take my kids
Broden snuck in a bloody hell
Luckily Broden talks in a gibberish manner during that sketch, so he had a little leeway
AH that's the sketch they were talking about in the last TWP episode!
Anyone here after listening to weekly planet?
Just listened to Mr Sunday movies where they talked about not knowing the crowd was kids.
Amazing to see the fear in their eyes.
This must have been the hardest gig
Mummy, can I watch some more videos of those funny people we saw?.......
Thirster “ooh Professor Whiskers, this looks like a good one!”
This brings a big old grin to my face
Aunty Donna - all swears = the wiggles 2.0
I think this is the most surreal thing I've seen this year
This is the darkest timeline of Aunty Donna
There is no greater fear than Broden realising that audience was small kids
my favourite part is when they decided it would be a good idea to attack the kids
The kids are more interested in the popcorn than the show hahaha
that line change from 'Zach your voice! It's givin me a stiffy!' to 'Zach your voice! It's conflicting me!'
anyone else here from The Weekly Planet episode?!
9:43 “get off the stage.”
☼ 5:02 that moment in every show where the audience starts throwing popcorn - you either eat it or you eat it, you know? anyway they do eat it. [edit: look at the stage floor 7:10 ; 11:10 no escape]
“You crumpet”
Yeah...
Kind of amazing that this was fantastic considering the kids were a complete blindside
You can’t have a family friendly Aunty Donna, it don’t mix
So awkward without swearing 😂
the kids took all the popcorn
even when performing for children they maintain the chaos
Holy fuck. This is incredible.
Here because of weekly planet
These kids are not ready for this level of silly
Good lord the amount of times I expected them to cuss but they didn't
You can hear them stop and remember not to swear every now and then
"Here's your pizza you crumpet"
Heard you guys on Weekly Podcast talking about how this show took years off your lives.
Difficult audience
Lol the popcorn was a mistake
They got so pissed that the kids threw the popcorn it WAS SO DAMN FUNNY
My dog when I give him peanut butter 10:37
6:22 I was worried Broden was going to go all Man Beast on those kids
1:20 just a minute in and they already slipped out a curse word lmao
What was the curse word? I hear “hell”
“Bloody” and “hell” aren’t necessarily swear words
The audience isn’t enjoying this as much as I am, although it might be funnier with the context of the boys trying not to swear in front of the kiddies.
