  • The wallet is a stitchless wallet. It is adjustable (Small, Medium, Large) for different amount of content. You choose. This is a great feature, and it is not common in the wallet market. Don't let a wallet size tell you how much you can carry, you can pick yourself what and how much to carry.
    Another great feature is the fact that there are right handed and left handed versions. Often the market forgets about leff handed people. With this wallet, I wanted to make it inclusive. Choose when customizing your wallet what version you wish.
    Another awesome feature is the thumb slider on the back: quickly choose the card you need, even when the card is in the back, just by sliding your cards up with your thumb.
    Pockets
    1 external pocket (quick access with thumb slider)
    2 easy to access compartments inside (the place where the flap tucks into, is also a pocket for 1 or 2 cards.

    Really interesting design I’ve never seen before, love the fact there’s no stitches to eventually fail, and the leather looks outstanding, real high quality shit, good job man

    Love the green wallet, I like the logo in the middle (you should've walked the dog before the video 🤣🤣)

      He is a very energetic dog...he always gets curious why I am talking alone when filming haha. I wanted a very long walk with him, but I had to take advantage of the day light for filming and in the Netherlands it starts to get dark early these winter days :)
      Ps. Logo will be on by default. Client could leave a note with their order if they don't want it. Thanks for your comment and for being here :)

    Very nice looking wallet. Initially I thought it wasn't something I would purchase because cash was visible when closed. However when you pointed out that the closing flap could go into the center opening, thus conceaing the visibility of any cash, I have reconsidered. As for the logo, I believe it's best on the very bottom right corner.

      Hi. I am not sure if your comment was meant for this YOHOA Wallet or for the UTILA wallet which was reviewed recently by Chris at Chrispy Things. In his video for the UTILA wallet, Chris mentioned that the only negative was the fact that dollars were visible when the wallet was closed. In that same video I replied clarifying that if you are concerned about this, you may set your bills vertically in the internal pocket to hide them completely when closed. That UTILA wallet has the Patepluma logo on the back side, bottom right corner.
      Similarly to the UTILA, US dollars fit in this wallet vertically too. But the Yohoa Wallet is only a vertical wallet. It is a stitchless design and at checkout the customer can choose if they want the logo or not. The flap is similar as to the UTILA. But yes, dollars would be completely hidden here when folded in halves in any internal pocket, or standing unfolded in the compartment with the flap.
      Thank you for your comment and good luck ordering your next UTILA or YOHOA Wallet :)
      Ps. The UTILA wallet has a video here in my channel too.
      Thanks for being here.

      @@PateplumaCo. I was referring to the wallet in this video, the Yohoa. I don't like folding dollars. I also do not want currency visible when I pull out my wallet, to grab a card or show identification for instance. In most cities, here in the US of A, displaying currency is a bad move. My point is that I like the billfold aspect where I could put cash in the back of the Yohoa, close the flap in the middle slot instead of the front slot and fully cover the bills.

      @@AH-yu2pi ah, I got you. I included my note about the Utilla because someone made a similar comment about it. I understand now, and yes, your bills should be completely hidden when closing the YOHOA. I also don't love to display cash either. I prefer it to be quickly accessable, but hidden from unwanted attention :)

      Thanks btw. Nice that you like it. It is a beautiful wallet. It was hard work to make it pretty a r functional.

    Re: the new Yohoa, over time the edge of the flap will begin to curl after repeatedly pulling it up and tucking it back in. Your left handed red wallet already shows this. I would add the snap like you have on your new Utila.

      Thank you for your comment. Glad you like my designs :)
      ...I predict the wallet will age okay. I burnish the edges to prevent pealing, and if with curling you mean bending, sure, this might happen, but it will not affect the use of the wallet. It will mold to your use, your pocket. The leather is 1.5thick and full grained. It's rather strong. In terms of looks, I used a prototype for about a month, and it only got more beautiful, and I didn't experienced an ugly aging of the flap. But it is something that I will keep an eye out for indeed. But, the YOHOA design will remain without a snap button, because if I add one, it will not be possible to tuck in the flap, leaving it more expose than the one at the Utilla. The Utilla flap has extra tension due to the fold, and the second flap behind the snap. Not sure if it would work on this wallet the same way.
      Thanks for sharing. I appreciate it because it gives me ideas and points of attention 🙏🏻

      Hi. Sorry for the delay. I am aware of the wallet you mentioned. Personally, not my type, but I love wallets from Open Sea leather...many nice creators in the space. I myself have many offerings and so far people seem to enjoy them, but yes, options are limitless :)

      This is an option. You can request your wish at checkout when ordering one. The logo cannot be smaller. It is a brass block, fixed sized. And even if I wanted a smaller brass logo, it's impossible due to the design of the feathers...too much details to make it smaller.

    Kervin : looking again at the Yohoa, I know you measured the thickness at 1.5 mm. But to my eye, it seems like it is thicker than that even empty. Also love the easy access thumb slider. I carry 8 cards and perhaps anywhere from 4-7 notes normally. What do you think? Yohoa, Utila or Zela 2.0? I want it as thin and possible and ease of access to the bills are also important. Hard to tell from looking at just videos though. Choices, choices, ah.....

    • @PateplumaCo.
      @PateplumaCo.  5 місяців тому +1

      Hello again. The leather is 1.5mm thick, the wallet is approx. 1.5cms thick (15mm). Sorry, maybe I mispoked :)
      My honest answer about the wallets: for 8 cards, the Utila isn't recommended unless you carry a lot of bills or coins as well, because the Utila has a huge capacity. If you love the functionality of the thumb slider, the Yohoa is a good one for this, and if you prefer flap closures instead of snaps buttons. But the Zela will give you what you look for as well. Bills are quick to access and it might be perfect for the amount of cards you carry. Plus it allows you to choose two leather colors, creating nice combinations.
      Good luck choosing :)
      I can also sell you a Zela wallet and a working prototype of the Yohoa at a reduced price, that way you try them both. If you like this option email me to show you what prototype I have at hand at this moment. It is at low cost because it's far from perfect but it is functional and good for giving you an idea.
      Thanks for your support.

    The innovation is great. I like many of your designs, but the cost of international shipping is too much for me.

    • @PateplumaCo.
      @PateplumaCo.  6 місяців тому

      Hi! Where are you located? For specific countries sometimes I can find alternatives...but let me tell you the reason why some of the shipping costs are pricey: it doesn't only cover shipping (although shipping costs have increased) but it covers some of the materials for packaging, the time that it takes (handling) and it also covers some of the cost that I must pay to the Dutch government in taxes for every item sold. You will notice that I don't ask for taxes at checkout. I take most of that cost, which it's 21% in the NL. If I could I would make it cheaper. But please share here or via email where home is for you and I can see what I can do. I want all customers, from near or far, to be able to experience my work. So I will find options when possible. Thanks for the support. Glad you like my designs. Awesome to read :)

      I think I am leaning towards stamping the logo in the middle. But a customer can always choose to keep it clean without the logo. This way, I am able to please everyone. If you order one, remind me on a note at checkout that you prefer just the internal logo. Thanks for your comment. Happy New Year:)
