  • Something I have found hard to believe is that not everyone always agrees with me. They really should, but they don’t. It’s hard to understand how they couldn’t. Do you agree? I can imagine that not everyone is going to agree that we sometimes don’t agree. We can be so disagreeable at times.
    That was certainly true in Rome as Paul wrote to a church filled with people who came from different religious, cultural, and racial backgrounds. They held varying opinions on what was right and wrong. Knowing the power that flows from the Spirit when believers are unified, Paul helps them see how to accept one another and work through the differences they had on what he calls “disputable matters.” He wrote to them,
    Accept the one whose faith is weak, without quarreling over disputable matters. (Romans 14:1)
    There are issues today that can strain relationships between believers. Let’s worship together this weekend with a desire to grow with one another in treating each other with respect as Jesus would-especially when we disagree!
