Kibler mentioned on stream that Shiro was a little unhappy about the move at first but he's settled in now and likes that he has a yard to play in now.
Like Inkmaster Solia, it is very powerful, but you can only get value out of it in a very late stage of the game so it's power is in a much more contained and managable enviornment, which means you can read the opponent's deck and play around it. Put it next to early power cards like Innervate and Preparation that have no requirement and cannot be countered because they can literally screw you over on turn 1 if the opponent is lucky enough, and you can see how Scales' design is much more healthy for the game in comparison.
I'm glad that a professional such as you can acknowledge that quest rouge is pretty much the most non-interactive deck in Hearthstone history. At least with the old patron decks, you needed to have knowledge on what is on the board and manage your minions' health appropriately, but in quest rouge, just fill ur deck with some crappy 1-drops, some bounce back cards like shadowstep, brewmasters, and ferrymen, cast prep and get a full board of 5/5s on turn 4. It's been some of the worst experiences I've ever had with this game. It's almost all but un-counterable unless you are playing a deck more aggressive than it(aka pirate warrior).
This game was amazing. For half of the game I question whether you win or not... I'm like "He loses right.. He can't deal with 10/10 and 11/11's?". But I forgot this was Hearthstone.
Don't worry Kibler, I saw the Family Guy reference, couldn't stop laughing for a minuite hahahahaha. Salesmen: "sure you can get the firelands portal, go face and basically win or you can go the mystery tome" Lois: "well obviously were going to go for the firelands port..." Kibler: "wait a second lois, a firelands portal is a firelands portal but cabalist's tome can be anything!, it can even be a firelands portal, you know how much we wanted one of them!" Lois: "well then lets just get the fir" Kibler: "WELL TAKE THE TOME!"
You never know, they literally could be anyone. They could be the most amazing person you've ever met or the next president or maybe their the person that ends up killing you. So... yeah, that is maybe why you do not randomly friend someone who could be literally anyone.
Streamers like Kibler get a friend request after every game pretty much. Impossible to add everyone. I think it caps out at 300 or something. I wouldn't even try unless it maybe was an exceptionally crazy game.
I have no love for Jade Druids, but if I had been Kibler's opponent that game I would have smacked my head against a wall out of sheer frustration. 4 fucking blizzards and then you finally die to a completely random misdirect. No, thanks lol. There was even a moment I felt bad for the guy but then I remembered he was playing a Jade Druid deck against a control and... well, my feelings of compassion did not last long...
Hey Brian, what do you think about the nerf of the rogue quest, which is "Your minions are 5/5 only this turn" ? I'm hoping it's gonna be nerf something like this
Yes, but look, almost all the quests are for one turn, and the only quests that are until the end of the game are not also strongs than that, the warrior quest got the random side, and priest just got 10 more health, it's not strong as it seems. And the power of have your minions 5/5 is not comparable to a bloodlust, cause it's just +3 ATK
bryan ragner So in some cases a worse Bloodlust, because the health-part is irrelevant and if your creature has 3+ attack it basically got weaker. There is besides that only one quest that lasts one turn and that is the Mage quest, which gives you another turn, which is extremely powerful. Warrior Power is Ragnaros as Hero Power and also one of the best rewards. Priest is often more than just 10+ health, it can heal you for 30+ hp and gives you an 8/8 taunt. Even shit rewards, such as Hunter and Paladin, have a better effect than 5/5's for one turn. The reward is currently very strong, maybe too strong (altough aggro and burn shit on Quest Rogue), but your solution is not the answer. Even making them 4/4's is already too harsh and the best way might be to just raise the requirement to five (six would also instantly kill the deck).
Cory Schulz I'd say this is a pretty good quote tho. I mean if it kills your opponent the other 70% (or let's just say 55%) of the time it'll be more consistent than quest rouge. (I just took my win rate with caverns rouge which is around 58%)
That's a screenshot of his actual deck tracker on another monitor. I think he uses HStracker though because his screenshot looks pretty damn similar to my tracker.
kibb you are the master at second guessing yourself I'll get the portal no wait the tome PORTAL NOOO TOME It beings a smile to my face sometimes so thanks ^.^
1:22 I LOVED quest rouge at first, but after a few hundred games I agree. the deck is absolutely toxic to the meta because of the aggro heavy focus it creates
The difference is the auctioneer is always out and can be answered. its not played and then stepped into a replay into a step etc. Rogue pulls her cards back to her had, where you cannot answer them at all. you can answer an auctioneer.
If he is lucky then yes. but considering that as long as the damage of the auctioneer isnt altered in any way, a mage, rogue, hunter, warrior, shaman, and warlock have hard removal for it in polymorph, fireball, firelands portal, assassinate, evicerate, deadly shot, kill command, execute, sleep with the fishes, hex, jade lightning, lava burst, blazecaller, blastcrystal potion, felfire potion, soulfire, shadowbolt, siphon soul, doom, and even twisting nether (and that is just standard.) The auctioneer is quite easily countered.
I've got a quest rogue deck I haven't played yet that I titled "Okay, you win" -- between that and Pirate Warrior I'm veering pretty close to the Dark Side. (Though I'm seeing a few more creative QR decks -- I faced one that used Stonehill Defenders along with the Shadowsteps since you can sometimes get another Stonehill off the Stonehill.)
Just had a quest Rogue in rank 17... he ignored putting a minion on field until turn 7, tried to do a OTK... but I spent the entire time Health Buffing a Tar Creeper and a Tortorlla Taunt thing. Ends up roping trying to be slick and I took my sweet time finishing off the last 2 hp he had... Yes I was full on BM ... but fuck it. hate the deck hate anyone who plays it.
>Rank 5 player attacks with largest minion first against a mage AND hunter secret because what are freeze trap, misderection, and vaporize anyways. I legitamately don't understand how these people get out of rank 20 but everytime I get near rank 10 suddenly I'm playing against last season's top 100 legend pirate warriors.
Keegan Randall no matter what he attacked with it woulda killed him if it hit face. all his jades are 10 mana no matter what. vape wouldnt change that Kib didnt have anymore direct damage. all this is info the jade knew and he lost the gamble. very easily, kib would lose if it hit the 11 or 13 jade.
To be fair in that situation the difference between an 11-attack and 12-attack idol vs those secrets is nothing. Both are unplayable the following turn if its freezing, if its vaporize both have the same time to lethal (even with the barrier in hand due to more idols), and if its misdirection both die to the other idols/are lethal if hits face. Really by playing idol first he's playing around the one situation he just instantly loses the game to the best of his ability. The reason he should have attacked with the 11 first instead of the 12 (a side from habit) is if he were to play around the random spells still in hand, a 7 health minion is sturdier vs random spells. In this case it happened to be the biggest one but if he had a 11/7 and 12/2 then it changes.
He had 2 minions he could attack with that turn. If he had attacked with the 11 instead he would have just died without being at -1 so it's kind of irrelevant. As stated by someone else, freeze trap was going to make anything he attacked with unplayable (there is an argument to be made that a 12/7 is more valuable to keep than an 11/2 in that case but it's marginal) if anything he was probably just saving time if it was explosive trap since it would have killed the 11/2 cancelling the attack. He knew it wasn't cat trick after playing the jade idol and the additional body did give him his best chance against misdirection. The mage secret was already known to be iceblock since he'd had that up for long enough that everything else had been tested for.
I am the only one finding that earthen scales is totally broken ? I mean, for 1 mana only you can have ridiculous amounts of armor, it doesn't makes sense to me...
I do hope one day they nerf Jade idol to the ground, so that Jade druids find they can't just play one overpowered card, and their entire deck type becomes garbage, as it can only win against control due to literal infinite value. Honestly after they fix quest rogue, I hope they fix Jade idol, and learn their lesson about this kind of cancer in the future.
Brian Kibler, you briefly questioned Yogg's infinite wisdom when he replaced your deck with Explore Un'Goro. I hope you have atoned for this sin
I love the classic music he plays in the background
So do I. It is way more fitting than those things Trolden plays, at least that's my opinion ;)

There were worse times. But yes, Quest Rogue is really terrible to play against.
You have to play aggro. Dont trade just smorc him. Thats the only way. And actually quest rogue is probably most weak deck in this exp.
Makes me think of just a Jade Statue falling on top of the Druid. Nothing more satisfying than seeing a Jade Druid get stomped being a Control player :p.
Apart from the fact that he didn't get stomped but smacked in his face by Yogg's RNG tentacles.
jimmygott had it been freezing trap or even explosive trap or any other hunter secret, the druid would have won. luck of the draw on kibler as control cant kill jade druid. idols op
jade druid is a control deck
Another epic finish! Kibler is always my first video watched.
Here for Kibler, and the gameplay, but I'm curious as to how Shiro has taken the move.
Kibler mentioned on stream that Shiro was a little unhappy about the move at first but he's settled in now and likes that he has a yard to play in now.
Appreciate the info. Considering Shiro is definitely a "character" himself for this channel, had to ask. Thanks again.
Usually the yard wins over most pets, especially active dogs.
caliscribe Shiro doesn't look like the type of dog who's too athletic XD
1 mana gain 11 armor that seems fair.
I mean 1 mana gain 5 is trash tier so
Like Inkmaster Solia, it is very powerful, but you can only get value out of it in a very late stage of the game so it's power is in a much more contained and managable enviornment, which means you can read the opponent's deck and play around it.

12:10 The Little Mana Wyrm That Could
That ending was so epic!
Don't worry Kibler, I saw the Family Guy reference, couldn't stop laughing for a minuite hahahahaha.

The great thing is that he probably won because he had an extra Blizzard from that tome
I friend requested Brian after a game I played against him. I was not deemed worthy either. :(
There is a limited amount of battlenet friends :/
You never know, they literally could be anyone. They could be the most amazing person you've ever met or the next president or maybe their the person that ends up killing you. So... yeah, that is maybe why you do not randomly friend someone who could be literally anyone.

Hey Brian, what do you think about the nerf of the rogue quest, which is "Your minions are 5/5 only this turn" ? I'm hoping it's gonna be nerf something like this
Jydas lol, that would make the quest absolutely worthless. Summon a minion four times to get Bloodlust...
Yes, but look, almost all the quests are for one turn, and the only quests that are until the end of the game are not also strongs than that, the warrior quest got the random side, and priest just got 10 more health, it's not strong as it seems. Christian Oyler ?
You shouldn't have commented about the Mic. I assumed it was ungorro drums in the distance.
What is this luck? Lmao, I loved this.
Yogg is so much fun to play, but he kills you 30% of the time lol
Cory Schulz I'd say this is a pretty good quote tho. I mean if it kills your opponent the other 70% (or let's just say 55%) of the time it'll be more consistent than quest rouge. (I just took my win rate with caverns rouge which is around 58%)
Moe... that just means your REALLY bad.
Big Hairy nope that means I don't have patches. my main decks are silence priest and mid range hunted and win rates are around 67%.
Oh I thought you meant you were using the main deck list, Patches makes a huge difference
Praise be unto thee, thine _Yogg_ , our lord and savior.
My question is, why would the druid coin wild growth when he followed up with hero power? isn't that a waste?
Coudnt have asked for a better ending!
what is name of the deck tracker used here
That's a screenshot of his actual deck tracker on another monitor. I think he uses HStracker though because his screenshot looks pretty damn similar to my tracker.

It could be anything!
Love how he's talking about how quest rogue is uninteractive, but is unfazed about the gadgetzan auctioneer who is almost as uninteractive...
The difference is the auctioneer is always out and can be answered. its not played and then stepped into a replay into a step etc.
Rogue pulls her cards back to her had, where you cannot answer them at all. you can answer an auctioneer.
michael evans yeah I get that, but if the druid is lucky he can get infinite jade idols which is pretty messed up and broken
Marcus Linden I think he has advocated for auctioneer to move to the hall of fame for that reason
NOT an RNG-based game!
it is and that is why its fun even after years of playing :P

Am i a bad person if i play quest rogue? :)
Play those decks just to get a better understanding of the game. You'll see what the limitations are
saw this in like 30 highlights xd

Haven't played much Yogg since the nerf; maybe it's time to resume my religious duties.
