Unfortunately, after the latest Japan/Ocean DLC they completely altered the boats’ dynamics, and now this method doesn’t work. All boats (including the kayaks) now have much more stiff buoyancy. They behave as if they are a ton more heavier, and thus they can hardly be dragged by fish or even turn. It’s still better than fishing from the shore, but always be prepared to get spooled. With the current mechanics, I’d say you need lvl. 65+ gear to fight the monster Siberian Taimen salmons (uniques go to 55+ kg)! Moreover, with these physics changes, I don’t see a way to complete the challenge where you have to let fish flip your kayak.
@ Pretty much. At least this is what I did. And I found it very fun too. Just get the right groundbait mixes for your Spod & 4 carp rods and you are golden. Even though carp rods are not required (you can use regular bottom setups instead) I found them very very balanced for enjoyable fights that don’t get pretty long.
@@foteinimantzali8691 Okay... ill try a couple of carp rods and two bottom rods and see what's best. At Willow Lake? How far should I take carp fishing? Till 54 and then Maroon River from there? Cheers.
@@CT2507 Yes, at Weeping Willow UK. Before going for catfish at Marron River though, you can also pay a visit to Blue Crab Island from time to time to mix it up. Even your most favorite kind of fishing can bore you if you stay there for endless hours. Blue Crab Island is somewhat unpredictable in bite rates, especially if you come spoiled from carp fishing in UK where you have control of bite rates by spodding at the day peaks. But it’s fine to break up the monotony and offers a good contrast to the UK weather mood. And when you are ready for Marron hit it asap. I love catfish there (again, I use spodding & sometimes feeders to influence the bite rate).
this is my 3rd play thru..im lvl 30 still in florida.. farming money to go michigan
