You must try cycling on these roads. Last year i tried running but had to abandon near sarchu due to injury. The landscapes are magical but takes a lot out of you. I love moore plains though, do try to see Lake Tsomoriri and tsokar (nearby Moore plains, you may have to obtain pass for it) other than pangong if you plan to come back same route back to manali.

You will find this nowhere in the world, you can find similar landscapes but not with such snow capped mountains, greenry turquoise water all together with a sense of achievement of riding on the road at highest altitude in the world. Just imagine the place in winters. It's all white with blue skies and much more. Yeah it can be a little difficult at time but if you won't have those difficulties then you will forget that. During winters all mountain pass are closed due to snow which can have an accumulation over 20 feets.
All these small rivers you see have ice shelf.

Another tip. I believe shortly before 1736 is where you get off Tang Lang Lan. strongly recommend packing the bike to the left and just looking back at the road upwards and you will get a view that will stick with you for the rest of your life😊

Awesome man. I would also advice you go to kargil drass and when you reach leh and want adventure and test your strength, get a bicycle on rent and go to kardungla pass (40kms) early morning. You gonna love that. I went from manali to leh on bicycle in 2019, it was some adventure.
