This is the first bag since your Synapse 25 review that I'm really digging. It's almost like the Synapse and the Goruck had a baby. I want one. Wildcard customization is a little overwhelming. I wish they had pictures for each addition associated with the selection.
Bryce Trem I added their WhatsApp number and asked pretty specific and detailed questions that I had about their wizard and they were very quick to respond. Gordon was a big help. Ended up purchasing it just now in multicam black
Bryce Trem I actually just got a render of mine literally just now via email approximately 5 minutes after purchasing to which they ask if any changes need to be made.
The fact that I literally ordered the exact same bag last June for school with the same exact customized features down to the color and fidlocks, tells me that you have taught me how to travel. #hipsterjesus #travelinlikechase
Honestly yes. But since I lift, it doesnt take a toll on me. Especially when I'm only carrying my daily carry stuff. Packed out with clothes and gear this summer, Itll probably be felt at some point. But the materials and quality out weigh the added ounces.
I literally just got done purchasing a custom one because of your review. Ended up going with the multi cam black and added Molle webbing to it along with a luggage strap and bottom compression straps, and duel water bottle pockets. Decided not to upgrade to Fidlocks or add the front zipper pocket because the price was quickly getting way out of my budget. I’m hoping I don’t regret not getting the front slim zipper pocket but we’ll see. There’s plenty of organization regardless. And I’ll be adding my own red paracord straps to save some money too. Their customer service is freaking fantastic. I got responses in less than 2 minutes. Maybe because I’m in Taiwan (but having this shipped to California) at the moment and are on a similar time zone. Regardless they helped me thru the whole customize wizard and answered all my questions. They’re going to provide a render for me too. Man what a company. I absolutely love their products.
I bought the rainmaker after watching your previous review. I’ve using it every day as a daily carry bag and also for traveling. Totally in love with this bag! I also went for the wildcard customization.
Shams Faure just out of curiosity did you go for the medium or the large? I put my order in for a medium based of this review but after seeing his original review on the large, I’m thinking it fits better for me at 5’11”
Daniel Lin i have the large version. And i use it as a daily bag + short trips. This medium version looks good but i think if you want to travel and also carry some tech you should definitely change for the Large one.
Fantastic customization.I have and love that set up of a three layer" pack -- mine is the discontinued Mystery Ranch "Daily" -- but this set up seems more versatile, more expandable, and more comfortable, all. Better looking imo, too.
I remember back in 2011 or 2012 when I first heard of the company in PJ, Malaysia. So proud that have managed to maintain and grow their business #malaysiaboleh
I just received my customer GreenRoom136 RainMaker and I absolutely love it. It has a ton of storage and is really well made. It's also super comfortable to wear. Not to mention they're so great to work with and will customize the bag however you want it. They respond really well via WhatsApp and are a hoot to chat with. Really a great company and I was happy to support them. Thanks for your great review(s) Chase. I ordered through your link and they sent along a great magnet with your mug on it. Haha.
1. I’m sold alone by the sunglass pocket. Lol 2. Your love for snacks knows no bound I just came back from a trip to Nashville and LA...while packing I took some serious time to think about my snacks thanks to you. 3. Congrats again on 50K...I’ve been following since before you made a second channel and then returned back to this one. (I don’t remember how long ago that was...I just remember that happened) you’ve inspired how I think about my bags and how I travel.
Jason H the medium size bag seems to have the same depth, just a little less width and a lot less height. For a everyday bag I don’t think I’ll need the height. Probably gonna go with the medium based on that logic.
@@jonsotirakopulos4390 yeah good point. I've read and watched reviews online saying that the bag takes on a lot more than the stated capacity. so medium takes on like 25L+ and large is closer to 30L
I own a North Face Overhaul, and although I watch all of your reviews looking for the bag that’ll replace it (the Overhaul is great but not perfect), it’s interesting to see how you’re gravitating towards bags that do what the Overhaul does so well: three compartments, lots of access out of the bag, comfortable daily carry, “real world” features like water bottle pockets and comfortable straps, solid organization, more than enough room left over after edc for packing cubes and dopp kits. It’s a solid one-bag solution. I wish you would review more bags like it-major brand, easily obtainable-if only to hear the comparison between them and the more exclusive bags you favor. Like, if the Rainmaker and Overhaul had the same quality of fit and finish, why “upgrade” from the Overhaul? (The Overhaul itself is discontinued AFAIK.)
I have been on this insane hunt for - well EVER looking for a bag that will carry what I need for school (nursing school)and work and just life. I have gone through so much and my local Good Will has profited for sure! I just recently got the closest I have found to perfection, the Eagle Creek Wayfinder 40L. But it kind of lends itself to overpacking but I still love it. This bag though looks like it might be just right. I also might need a class on How not to Overpack your life. Seriously your videos just make my day. Thank you! P.S. You did not share info on the pen. Sincerely, a pen geek. :)
Its not a bag review until we get the 5 10, 190 lbs. And I cannot believe you still have the Jambox. That is old school. I came across the Greenroom 136 a few weeks ago. It’s definitely a very versatile backpack. I am just not sure about the aesthetics of the bag. It might be a personal choice I guess.
This is such an awesome bag. Just wish they would add some meaningful customization. Something with no laptop panel to make it slimmer. Something with lighter material, to reduce the 3lb weight.
Hey Chase! Been waiting for this one for ages. I see you didn't go for the front pocket peel over opening option, any reason for that? This is definitely a bag I'm going to get, I just need to make my mind up which options I want.
I have a custom bag after being inspired by Chase's first review of the Rainmaker. It's a freaking great bag, but I think it's worth nothing this thing ain't light....at all. Heavy duty materials inside and out.
What are your thoughts about The North Face bags? I just recently got the new design of the Borealis, and I absolutely love it. The 3 compartment system is very similar to this bag.
Thanks for this, just did a custom set-up to suite me (if only there was an option to add storage for shoes) came to over 1055 MYR ($355 AUD) Thats a lot of money, will compare to similar bags like AER Duffel Pack 2 ; Tortuga Setout DivideE Travel Pack; AER Travel Pack and the Tom Bihn Aeronaut for price
The secret passport pocket is not custom - it's standard on the regular model as well. And those water bottle holders, don't they kinda negate the ability to flip the bag completely open which you were super pumped about in the other video? I understand you probably ordered it to show the many possibilities but the 3-side zipper opening is what sets this bag apart from the many others.
you had me at fidlocks. the love child between a tom bihn brain bag and a GR2 which i will be selling tomorrow to get me one of these! looks great. the pick pocket pocket, leave it open, put a euro in there taped to a "have a gelatto on me" note.
