I ran the Flagstaff Urban Trail System twice the past two weekends. It's a wonderful network with great scenery, weather, and plenty of hills and lengths to do a long run. I parked at Fort Tuthill Park and got on FUTS to Ponderosa Trail. Then I did a loop around High Country Road then down to Ponderosa Trails Park. I got back on FUTS and went to University Heights until the trail was blocked. Then I turned back to Fort Tuthill. From that point, I did a loop on Soldier Trail within the park. The total miles were 13.11. It was great training for my next half marathon in Pinetop. I love coming from Phoenix when it's 110+ down here but very comfortable up in Flagstaff with mild weather and summer monsoons.
Flagstaff is my second favorite place in Arizona! Beautiful!
Thanks! We did a Prescott episode, too -- check it out if you haven't already! ua-cam.com/video/fjLkNs83yjE/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared
I'm looking forward to going this year especially because how much they have to offer for amateur astronomers and hiker like my self.
Enjoy!
Hopefully we would visit next year
I went to flagstaff and it was cool with the snow

I have an in-law who just began his career as a police officer in Flagstaff.
