Lacrymosa Do not stand at my grave and weep

Just found out about this requiem... so beautiful, touching... made me cry. Especially this part!
I'm singing part of this song for my Opera North Audition next Thursday. Wish me luck.

In loving memory of Steffen Mikkelsen 10/05/92 - 29/07/2015.
The best friend i ever had and ever will have.
May your friend find eternal peace. Bless your dear kind heart.
@@wcstevens7 thank you, just thank you. I still miss him
A beautiful performance. I like the sincere, no frills approach from the baritone, very well judged and appropriate to the material. I'm impressed that he sings the final "I am not there......." as one phrase and apparently effortlessy. (Try singing it with him in one breath).
Very moving. You made me cry.
Timeless. Spaceless. Like light.
Beautiful rendition kudos to you all!
I love this one (Do not stand at my grave and weep) our souls never die. I've alway had and always will have/know my religious beliefs in God and reincarnation etc ( Despite that i don't come from a family of any religion beliefs neither do their friends associates. Yet I've always been religious from a very early age) godbless ✝️
Le poème est de Mary Elizabeth Frye(1905-2004)
Who is this Baritone ?!! He sing this with perfection. I love his voice! It always bring tears. I always try to play it on my Viola, but I always spoil it due to the emotions it brings. The lyrics must have been given to Mary Elizabeth Frye by the Holy Spirit. All the string parts and Choir are perfect.
@David hill well that's your belief other people have different beliefs than others Not everyone has the same beliefs as everyone that's the way the world is. You more than likely think that the word is flat But it's not the world is shaped as a bull is. As like you are full of bull💩 Godbless you becouse no one else will
❤️❤️❤️❤️
my university orchestra and choral society are doing this reqiuem on sunday. im in the 1st violin and i cry every single time in rehearsals, i dont know how this singer keeps himself together!! his eyes look a little teary sometimes but still, lucky him!!!
I found some consolation.
That is just beautiful ! I love the way he sings it .
We sang this last spring (2011). It's really an awesome song.
Well Done!!
so beautiful, so well sung by Olivier Laquerre, a joy to listen to even if it is about death...
It's my favourite song. It's not exactly about death as the body is but a shell and our soul never die's. I don't come from a family of any religion nor do their friends/ associates Yet I've always had and always will have/know my religious beliefs in God and reincarnation etc from a very early age. Godbless ✝️
