Led Zeppelin formed in 1968 and went on to become one of the most influential, innovative, and successful groups in modern music, having sold more than 300 million albums worldwide. The band rose from the ashes of The Yardbirds, when Jimmy Page brought in John Bonham, John Paul Jones, and Robert Plant to tour as The New Yardbirds. In 1969, Led Zeppelin released its self-titled debut which was produced by Page, as were all the subsequent albums. It marked the beginning of a 12-year reign, during which the group was widely considered to be the biggest and most innovative rock band in the world.

Wow, what year? I’m 18, been listening to them ever since 13, but I’m a HARDCORE fan, I listen to all the bootlegs I can get my hands on, and the only thing I’ve ever experienced to a live led zep show is seeing Jimmy Sakurai live. I’d love to know about the show!

Was on the 27th February '72 when we saw them outdoors live in Sydney. True. They were at their peak alright and it showed. The Sydney concert, according to Page and Plant in later interviews, claimed it was one of if not their best performance! Kinda sucks being 71 y/o now but with memories like this under our belts it's great to simply be alive and reminiscing. 😍

I was at the Rolling Stones concert in Seattle in 1981 at the Kingdom, and outside before the show talking to people, the wildest/loudest/craziest concert crowd ever in Seattle was for Led Zeppelin's 1977 show......i got to see page/plant concert in Vancouver in 1998....it was good but i can only imagine how good that "77 show in Seattle would have been....LEGENDS !!!
