Glo'ed Up I did that back on 2k17 lol the arena lighting to me is just horrible honestly. Every arena is mad dark and can only see like the first 5/6 rows into the crowd. The court colors are trash compared to live. Like for example look at how the texture is on the Portland court and how well the arena and floor is lit up. Then go look at the same arena on 2k. Live blows them out the water when it comes to that stuff
Great video man! You mentioned the Pro-Am objectives. I don't mind the challenges like the rebounds as a PG but for one I had to dunk and my guy literally can't dunk. I finally had to create another player and redo the Pro-Am to get past it. I wish it could be either tailored more to your position or at least for sure attainable for everyone.

This won't matter to some people. For others that are on the fence this may make the decision a little easier. I purchased both games this year for the xbox one. I was able to get a factory sealed copy of NBA Live 18 for 29.75 on ebay. 2K18 it's hard to find a copy for less than like 47 bucks on there. EA games tend to always have more discounted copies in circulation. So this is something else to take into consideration if price in any way factors into your final decision.
Live needs to improve on commentary and presentation the nba finals should not feel like a regular game but it is fun i also absoulutely love how they have playoff shirts its not just raptors playoffs its small but i like it

I've had both games. 2k first (pre ordered) and then live after release. I've deffinenitly have had way more fun in the live career mode than 2k cringy ass cut scenes.
VC should only be for accessories, and MyTeam. Instead of VC to upgrade your player, it should be skill points like how it is if you play mycareer offline. But you should also still earn vc as well after games

Good points. Those are the things which stood out to me most. Clothes - in MOST games, clothes are an afterthought and after many years of gaming, this is annoying as heck. In Live, the clothes are dynamic as you’ve said. Menus - As a graphic designer I truly appreciate Lives menus. I actually took a moment to study their fx. Gameplay - it’s accessible and that’s why I love it. 2K and that’s VC is unattractive to me. The grind and hustle? I want to PLAY my games. Gameplay #2 - the challenges are a little glitchy or unclear. Or trying to reach 35 3point shots but it only counting 2/3 in spite of achieving 3 - the other 2 threes counted towards the daily goal vs the career goal. Conflicts with the computer statistics I guess.

I love Lives Art style. It really simulates getting actual run IRL. but they need to focus on animations and signature styles next year. They also need to focus on better body builds the big men look like body builders. Plus their feet are too small in some shoes it looks like you’re wearing girl shoes. Lastly better hairstyles and clothes. Everyone wears shorts in Live because the pants are like bell bottoms. Make some skinny jeans and joggers for us. Look up the styles and trends heavy for young people now. What makes 2k so good is that they are heavy on that with the dance taunts being mo cap so they look smooth and real. That’s all I can think of at the moment tho, other than that it’s fun. Edit: NBA Live has far superior face scans. NBA 2k has your face looking lightskin and grimy. NBA live Companion app has an easier interface and its extremely realistic.

Also Salary is easier to work with in Live. The cap of both teams update during negotiations where with 2K it just says what the cap space is for total instead of updating as players are added to the deal. Live you can see exactly how much more you need to add or subtract to make a legal trade

I love Lives Art style. It really simulates getting actual run IRL. but they need to focus on animations and signature styles next year. They also need to focus on better body builds the big men look like body builders. Plus their feet are too small in some shoes it looks like you’re wearing girl shoes. Lastly better hairstyles and clothes. Everyone wears shorts in Live because the pants are like bell bottoms. Make some skinny jeans and joggers for us. Look up the styles and trends heavy for young people now. What makes 2k so good is that they are heavy on that with the dance taunts being mo cap so they look smooth and real. That’s all I can think of at the moment tho, other than that it’s fun.
Edit: NBA Live has far superior face scans. NBA 2k has your face looking lightskin and grimy. NBA live Companion app has an easier interface and its extremely realistic.

Funny thing is that live fanboys can’t say anything about the presentation of 2k or the player models of the game play because there isn’t anything bad to talk about.All they can mention is the Vc problems and the servers meanwhile they have to manually adjust the sliders after paying 30.00 to get the game to play how they want it to.Thats really ironic.live has had over 10 maybe more updates since it’s been released.Go figure of the game is so good why they have to tweak something almost every 24 hours?Why do they try to compete with 2k by dropping the price 30.00 ?why don’t they finally add frost bite so they can step out of the early 2000s and make a realistic looking game.Please answer that?

Also Salary is easier to work with in Live. The cap of both teams update during negotiations where with 2K it just says what the cap space is for total instead of updating as players are added to the deal. Live you can see exactly how much more you need to add or subtract to make a legal trade

PixelGaming174 I have played both.Live is good for certain things like the lighting and the Espn effect but the player models seldom look like their real life counterparts the announcing is terrible they say random stuff like who grabbed the rebound or passes the ball no real substance when it comes to commentary and also the halftime segment is lacking as well as the My player.I played it it’s much better than live 15 but they still have always to go.The onball defense is better than 2k but that’s about it.Its easier to pick up and play than 2k but that doesn’t make it a better game tho.2k requires time to go practice like it always has but if ur used to 2k it’s always been like that
