Nice video, interesting facts, the picture of the library is the famous library Lelio in Porto, and not the one you mentioned in Lisbon, the pastel de nata not the one you present, but a good effort to present more important facts , beautiful country, friendly people
The Douro starts in Spain and runs westerly through Portugal, ending in Porto. It is not the border between Portugal and Spain. The pastel de nata shown in the video is not even close to Pasteis de nata. Fact check

Great video! Although, the description of the portuguese custard tart is correct, this video shows a standard custard tart. The portuguese custard tarts are not served with cherries (although there are cherry flavoured portuguese custard tarts) and they're more commonly bite-size!
The library that is shown in the video is not Bertrand in Lisbon but the famous Library Lello in Porto where J. K. Rowling writer of Harry Potter, was inspired for the library that she describes in the book and later on in the movie. Pastel de Nata is a small yellow crispy custard pie without any fruits cover. Pronunciation of the Portuguese words and especially when written, should be carefully reviewed before posting the video along other images that don't match with what is appearing in the video. Still, congratulations for the effort and research .
Here are 15 fascinating mistakes in this video: 1:08 - "Its", not "it's". 1:20 - "Estrela", not "Estrella". Estrella is Spanish. 1:24 - Mondego, not Montego. 1:45 - Parque Natural da Ria Formosa, not Doria Formosa. 2:18 - Álvares Cabral, not Alvarez Cabral. Alvarez is Spanish. 2:32 - Neither Pinedagueres nor Pineda gatez, it's Peneda Gerês. In this case the "g" has "j" sound. 2:53 - It's Benagil, not Bengali. 3:42 - The path the Douro river takes is not the border nor it marks the distinction between Portugal and Spain, the river that (partially) does that is the Minho river. 4:24 - What??? I'm a 57 year old portuguese person and I've never heard of a carnival with boats in the Algarve! Plus, those pictures are from boats in Vila Nova de Gaia, which is in the opposite side of the country. 5:02 - Not any rooster, it's the Barcelos rooster. 6:51 - We call it Bacalhau, not Bacalao and certainly not mackerel. 7:50 - Azulejos, not Azuelos and definitely not willows. 8:46 - Sarah Del Rey, a Candia rose???? 🤣 9:12 - What others already said in the comments. 10:16 - Those clips are from the Lello bookstore in Porto, not from the Bertrand bookstore in Lisbon. If you're going to keep putting subtitles in the videos, get them right instead of letting the Artificial Ignorance do them. Or don't put them at all, they make things even worse than your pronunciation.

I see a lot of negative comments on this video, shame on them. I am Portuguese and very happy that you took the time and made the effort to put it together for everyone. Fado is actually a word of Arabic origin. Same as the style of music and melody. The Moors has a huge influence in Portuguese language, art, and culture.
Understanding this European phenomenal either no man's land or a lure since the Cuban empire, which not long ago a pilgrimage was instated by a steady people from down South America, era 1960's to 70's. The main wine is port or Cristano Ronaldo with coffee & chicken & frogs dishes. The scenery is phenomenal and rumor had it that Noah's ark started & ended in Portugal. Later, they changed it to the ancient gallillea boat. Never the less, it draws people here, then they flee for whatever reason. The sea is full of swimming snakes, with box jellyfish, weird creatures, lots of myth to be continued....
The Douro River is *not* the border between Portugal and Spain and the video shown if supposedly a pastel de nata wasn't a pastel de nata. It was some kind of tart, but definitely *not* a pasteis de nata. I wish videos like this would fact check. I am sure there were definite some things missed and also I suspect there was stolen video in here regarding the carnival from Dave in Portugal's channel. 🙄

Some cities, references and visuals are actually wrong. Nice video, and I learned a thing or two, but this isn't fact-checked. Pronunciations are off. Some commentary different than what is being shown. Not great -
The bookshop you showed is not located in Lisbon, but in Porto. Also what is shown as a picture of custard tarts is not them, but something completely different. Do your research and get your facts straight!
Strange laws and weird traditions. There are things about Portuguese culture that I like and make them good people. One thing is there is no kosher food and they don't waste food. If something isn't kosher they make it kosher. If Portuguse people eat a chicken or a pig they eat the whole thing and nothing goes to waste. they eat the organ meat themselves. They don't have signs of a slave culture where they eat high on the hog like in america. If they eat a fish they'll eat the eyes and everything. Then they don't have to take vitamens and that's actually how you're supposed to eat. Rich people were fat before because they would only eat the "best" parts of things. But then they don't get the vitamins and everything. Portuguese don't show that slave power in their culture. Brazil does. America does too. Like you only eat chicken breast or steak like spoiled brats. In america stuff like collard greens, sardines, or chicken livers and gizzards are black people food. That's actually healthy food and standard Portuguese diet. Portuguese have a culture where they can wipe their own butts. Even if they are rich they don't pay people to wipe their butts. For americans that would be a bad economy. I don't believe that. You just can't take care of yourselves.
the G in GERÊS reads as a J..... Lisbon is the 2nd oldest after Athens.... however Christians, we accept Muslims, Jews, Hindus and others, in Lisbon, you can find several temples to these faiths, and they aren't harassed, we acknowledge their choice of religion...MACAU was never Portuguese territory, it was a Chinese territory under Portuguese administration, and opposite to the English invasion of Hong Kong by the Britts after the Opium wars, Macau was lent to the Portuguese, as recognition of Portuguese services to China...and endured the differences of Regimes between Mao and Salazar, and went we returned it to China, it was by our decision, not the Chinese, again opposite to China not renewing the UK stay in Hong Kong...
Terrible video. Images of places do not match the naration, and the subtitles are not even correct when he says that cod fish is Bacalhau (which in the subtitles is translated to mackerel). Far from accurate, images poorly put together. Example the oldest library in Chiado does not look like that… the images are the ones of a library in Porto (300km away from Chiado/Lisbon). Same as the Algarve coastal village shown… That village is actually off the coast of lisbon, not in the algarve. Poor poor job.
