God i hope this becomes permanent. Ive been on burnout from apex for awhile cause it just no longer felt fun to spawn die and try again with rare occasions when things went well. Hopefully this gamemode can make a lot of people come back to the game and have fun.

@@pandabambooo9205 im certain this is just a playtest for everyone in apex, when they do stuff like this they usually try to impliment it as a full thing. most LTM's they have are basically ideas they might incorporate into the battle royale, and quite a few of them actually made it into battle royale

Ok? Why does that matter?
Knowing that they’ve been working on this mode since at least season 9 (considering that’s when it was first leaked), Lava siphon almost seems TOO perfect for this game mode. Like the POI was designed with large, symmetrical, team modes in mind.
Hmm... It does seem like it's perfect for the mode, but I can see other maps being more fun tbh. I feel like the three huge building things would be too easy to hold and anyone who falls off or tries to approach the other building would instantly be beamed by 9 people. I think Skyhook would be the best personally

but if they added angel city or even forward base kodai to apex i would probably have a heart attack

I can imagine when they add the ability to add more people in your lobby you gonna see 9 stacking preds while your team is hit garbage

All the good guns from titanfall are now in apex like the spitfire and flatline. Just gives me a bad taste in my mouth and kind of sad they probably wont make a sequel

Okay, so, strange idea: Fishfarm for control. Hear me out: It's a fairly open area, but with a surprising amount of cover in buildings and stuff. I think it could honestly be really good, especially to help make the Bow more useful than just flatline all the time.

Oasis on Olymp can be a great map for this mode: 2 absolutely identical buildings; huge location and enough places to capture
I genuinely think that the crashed ship on kc could be great. Fragment would be a welcome edition. Maybe skyhook as it is round and easy to control?
fragment already feels like control mode in battle royal, I dont think we need more of fragment here too
The intro is perfect, seeing all of the characters that macro portrayed is so awsome
I want that mode back. I just need an escape from the constant sweatiness, but I still want to be playing apex. It’s like Macro said, the movement, the gunplay, it all just feels so good and I just want a mode like this with respawns to be a permanent mode
Apex has been in dire need of a chill mode such as this. I may actually consider returning if this becomes permanent!

Prowler den would be pretty cool. I just love imagining players trying to control points while fighting the enemy team, and also fighting prowlers
I agree introducing PVE into the mix would be interesting but none of the existing prowler dens are really big enough to be a Control map. Though if they made a whole map that was a prowler den I'd be down for it
Infinite prowlers is pretty scary tbh
No! PvE is gimmicky at first but it gets stale really quick and people get frsutrated with it
Apex is designed for PvP, let it be
At the max they can have that as a LTM within control when it becomes permanent but not in the main game mode
Skyhook and Rift would be amazing as a control maps, but I don’t know how they would deal with the portal in rift. Perhaps they can remove the portal and make it point B
its too open to be point B, everyone would just be sniping at B with a few brave souls crouching in a corner capturing it and hoping enemy doesnt see them
the portal could become a central redeploy
3:18 knowing how Caustic is being murdered in season 13 I laughed at that little message.
Skyhook, Capital city, Solar array and that huge house on storm point near the giant gong (forgot its name) would make for fun control maps.
i love the thought of this gamemode. i really hope they make it perminent. one thing i enjoyed about warzone was that i could go hop into modern warfare and level up the same guns. i would love to just play a few matchs of control to get used to recoil and stuff before playing br. i think its a great idea. thats my output. e.
The fact this isnt just released as a permanent mode off the bat is actually baffling with how much effort they put into it
They probably want to see the community reactions and suggestions before making it perma….. like u know what happened with arenas lul
if it does go away people are gonna be extremely angry.
i dont see why the devs seem scared of making the game more of a fleshed out product instead of just 2 modes, the only fun one of which has 4 maps on a rotation
@@mattai075 I guess you have to think about active player bases in regions. Some region servers are already struggling to fill lobbies and that may cause matchmaking to ignore skill and prioritize getting people in games. So adding all the previous LTMs as permanent modes could accidentally kill those lobbies and you could end up fighting people that are way out of your league one way or another on top of having to possibly wait forever to play if you pick an unpopular game mode.
This is just my guess though. I got no clue if they have a way to work around that.
They learned their lesson with areanas.
I really think that octanes ring would be good for a new map, it'd be a little compacted, but it would also be fun.

This is the most fun I have had in apex. I dont really like br games but I played apex for its amazing gunplay and movement. This mode makes this game so much better! Too bad it's an LTM
I really wish that we could choose a custom load out. I would love to practice a weapon specifically in control.

This will be a sensitive suggestion but maybe capitol city (not fragment) would be a cool control map. Also it would maybe be cool if they made a custom control map with a train going around the map (I miss the train).

It would be fun if it keeps running or is an intermittent guaranteed epic drop, to encourage teams to sacrifice defense of a point or mount a stronger offense.

I have the Feeling that Harvester from Worlds edge could work for control, with those little side buildings that remind me of an octopus tentacle it could work
It was strangely comforting to watch an Apex/shooter youtuber that doesn't have insane aim like most others do.

I feel that the city in worlds edge would work well and the crack would act as a sort of wall with only a few spots to get to the other side
This will comfort me in the shutdown of hyperscape
I'm bad at this game so my strategy for this game mode is to relentlessly attack A or C (the one closest to the enemy spawn point) no matter how many times I die. Usually there ends up being at least 2 or 3 people camping the point waiting for me to attack it again making it really easy for my team to get B.
Gee I wish they did this with certain other game modes as well, truly a shame we don't have a game with said game modes that has been abandoned by Devs

Harvester would make a decent map, it’s mostly symmetrical and the area with the ramp and beam would be a good B point
Harvester is an underated map in battle royal it could redeem itself with this idea

Bonzai tower, may be a bit too small, but I feel could be a good map! The 2 high rises and one ground points to control. Additionally, I think I like a little more the way Halo does control. Where you only gain points if you have majority of the areas. I have found in control there comes a point in the game where you know you cannot stop the other team, even if you end up grabbing 2 areas, so it really isn't worth it so you end up just playing defeated. Some of the most epic times playing Halo is stopping a team at 95% and coming back for the victory!

Some maps that can be added are gardens, solar array, estates and oasis from Olympus
Sorting factory, harvester, and skyhook from worlds edge
Water treatment, hydro dam/repulsor and spotted lakes and cascades for kings canyon
And Finally command center, cenote cave and check point from Storm point
Glad to see that this mode will soon be a permanent addition due to mixtape
The one POI that is at the heart of apex rn..... Fragment old streamer building.... Newer streamer building plus the bottommost 4 storey building in the fragment being A, B, C resp.
For kings canyon I think it you be cool to have a crash site and a spotted lakes map. And I think they could combine hydro dam and repulser for 1 map. And maybe compositor. For worlds edge they could have skyhook and both of fragment. I am very excited for this mode since we had a season dryer than the Sahara desert
I think "Water Treatment" is a good POI from KC that the devs can use for control. Not the caustic take over... but the OG water treatment spot. The central landing area with indoor zips can easily be the B point with the small town areas on either end of Water treatment serving as each home base respectfully. It would be 95% symmetrical. With equal space for indoor (close range) and outdoor (long range fights) with high ground scattered around the area.

Personally I think that thunderdome would be a really neat concept for control as the area is fairly symmetrical and it also has some potential highroad that could be the B objective
As someone who’s lost so many times and so early in battle royal with not even 1 kill,

I feel like it's more of a small scale version of conquest from battlefield, which I just love
Caustic town take over area would be really good, Maybe city on world's edge, Checkpoint on storm point etc. etc.

Crashsite on Kings Canyon would be awesome to see. It was a great addition to the map that would be great to see more play.
A personal suggestion I have which I think everyone would love is when there is a new season make a new battlepass as usual but give us the option to go back to any battle pass we want from any season if it's not finished and when we do finish it we can choose a new one.

Kill cam would def be a big help knowing who and where they killed you especially if you die by snipers you don't know where
This game mode has so much potential. Yes I know Apex legends is a different game from Titanfall but its in the same universe so what if like an attrition like game mode where its a 6v6 with double jump and wall run but without titans or there could be titans but it wouldn't fit in
For POI's, I think areas such like Skyhook at the City (New or Old would be fine either way) would be great.

I think Bonsai Plaza would be a fun and chaotic map for this game mode. It may be a bit small but it would be fast paced like Nuketown in CoD
Something i wish that was a thing for Control was queuing up with your entire clan into a single team. It would be the closest thing to custom games that we could have XD.
I think some point of the cascades from King's Canyon could work with the points being in the upper areas and the middle one down in some of the houses

I would kinda like bunker from kings canyon and the 2 outside areas on each side. The outsides would be a and c and the middle of the bunker would be b. It would be chaotic casual fun.

The orginal TTV building in fragment, the one that was literally next to the train tracks, and had the Gapped building attached,

Definitely want to see team chat. Like something where you can toggle in to team chat and then out to squad chat. Also I wish they would add the option to premake more than just 3 ppl. Like if I have 4 other ppl I usually play with, I want to be able to load into the same team as all of them

Since Apex exist i alwais wanted an urban map, but no something spread like skull town, something big, a lot of buildings, with very verticals fights and this will make me happy like a kid on christmast day

The solution of "make your own class" sounds great but won't really change the main issue of gun balancing. It just adds a bit more freedom but otherwise people will just continue picking OP weapons regardless
