I lived on the estate from 1977 - 81, my mother was the manager of the restaurant and my step father looked after the lions and tigers, often I'd find cubs in my home! The Chipperfields were my neighbours, they got me on Animal Magic TV programme, and I went to school with Lady Lenka Thynn. Wonderful times, they really were back then.

Nice to see his grandson, the current Lord Bath looks so much like him.

Was that the eccentric character that appeared in an episode of Time Team? Either way, may his soul rest in peace.

Its is indeed a tragedy that his son " viscount weymouth", who ascended to his Lordship after him has also passed into memory not one year ago.
