Towns and boroughs within cities tend to have clubs with football, basketball, volleyball etc. so the fans support all the teams within the club.
All these clubs include the name of the area they are located in, usually locals and supporters want their clubs to do well because they see it as a matter of pride for their city.

The one in Amsterdam is before the game. They come together and do something that they call an 'entrada'. It get's everyone warmed up before they enter the stadium. And since the chant is called '90 minutes long' you probably understand why that warm up is importand.

Pyro is not allowed, we bring it in anyways. Ultras are organized fans, they come up with the songs. The more often they sing it, the more people are able to join in next time. Also, a lot have newsletters etc. where they publish new songs, events and talk about the last and next game...

The Casablanca (Morocco)chant was about the law the government passed against Ultras calling them criminals. They can't protest in the streets, the government would crack down on them and imprison them, so they use the anonymity of the huge crowd to be able to say what they want. Of course the fans (the Ultras especially) follow their teams to other cities and countries, they know that without their support in away matches, their team might not stand a chance against the intimidation of the fans of the opposing team. No, flares are not allowed in most countries, but the fans smuggle them in.

You ask very specific question about very broad thing. I mean there are thousands of clubs in 200 countries around the world with different cultures, laws, societies etc... so there isn't a simple answer to any of your questions, but to answer you I will oversimplify and generalize things.
So do they travel? Yes, going to away matches is especially important for members of Ultras group, and in many ways ability to come to away games in big numbers says a lot about power of the ultras group.
Do people die? I believe that tens if not hundreds of people die in confrontations between various different fan groups.
Are they political? I wouldn't say that is a rule, but I would say most ultras groups have their socio political side and even some clubs have political role. And those vary a lot, political views can go from far left, antifa and communist to far right fascists and Nazis and everything in between. You had revolutions started or decided by Ultras groups or even wars.
In Europe it's often said that the football is the mirror of the society and in many ways by looking at football and at the stands in some country you can learn and conclude a lot about that country.
Who organizes and pays for the stuff fans do in the stands? Fans themselves.
Are fireworks allowed? No, but it's very hard to stop fans from finding ways to smuggle those things in to the stands and in many countries police and security doesn't even try that hard. And it's basically impossible for police to intervene against those who use fireworks in the stands without a bloodshed so it's almost never done.
All those answers are as short as possible and uncomplete.

Yeah those groups travel to away games... Every club has ultra groups or hooligan firms...
They do everything for their club.
They make the atmposhere and finance the pyro's en the fireworks.
The clubs do not finance that.
Hooligans from some clubs fight eachother in the woods with equal numbers or search for eachother in each city if they play against eachother.
Some ultragroups are 40-50 years old and got a lot of history.
And those groups are most of the time also politicle.

They dont just go to other games they go to other countries, massive groups of them, a scene to behold, that kind of culture doesn't exist in any US sport where fans will travel to another city and make their presence known.

@@ViffeNify Well yeah thats of course why the gov stops this kind of stuff happening in their country because they are scared of organised protests and 80-100k meeting up with the same agenda.

In europ, yes they dont want a flares on stadiums, but Europe is not norther america, here people actually Hold some power, government cant stop masses and even club leadership is afraid to act. There have been event where club decides act against fans, and mojority of fans answer that to ignore all the games, clubs lose alot of money. So Fans have power in europe they basically do what they want. Some big clubowners tryd to take away fan power and create superleague like there is in maerica, Fans destroyd this idea realy fast, it didnt reacheven first game it was demolished.

That „glass“ is usually quarter inch „wires“ welded together leaving a gap of maybe 1x4in between the wires

I think that protest song can probably only be done in respective safety in crowded stadiums, if done on the streets they will most likely be shot and /or locked up or just disappear. From the name of the club this is in Marocco and you don't protest against the government, or it must be an uprising. Marocco is not a democratic country, they pretend to be but in reality it's far from it.

The most NA question: "Is that bulletproof glass?" LOL.
Even though we europeans are psychos some of us going to football matches just to start a ruckus I don't think ANYONE has ever discharged a fire arm on any game, correct me if I'm wrong. Sure some cop might've shoot a warning shot into the air but no person has been shot.
Generally amongst the most violent fans weapons are seen as a pussy move, you use your fists and if shit gets really chaotic chairs, seats, flares, bottles to defend yourself. Some countries though do have an affinity towards the knife, but that is also seen as a very pussy move. Hence the crossed out knife graffiti you can see in some of these clips of ultras.

These flares and things arent allowed to bring in but it dosent matter how hard they try to spot it its still getting in there. There have been many games where protests have been planned with the fans from both sides have burned so many flares that u think the entire stadium was on fire and everybody knows its gonna happen. The only thing they can do really is to not let any1 in atall, or just start the game and let it happen and abort the game untill all the flares and smoke have cleared up again. If these fans went over to the us it would happen there aswell they wouldent be able to stop this either. I think there is an Australian group that has been traveling around to us baseball games and they made almost as mutch noice as the rest of the stadium combined.

1:53 These are words directly from the collective soul.. just shut up and read the translation.. I don't know why you have the impression of torches, fire, flags... that everyone knows the song? It's not a song, it's what we live.
