40 years of Baumann Automation - Automation out of the Box (english)

Amberg, 1984: With a drawing board and a computer, Dr Georg Baumann lays the foundations for an innovative company. What began as a small engineering office with design drawings for a wide variety of companies quickly developed from special machine construction to industrial automation and robotics. The first control cabinets are created in the office and in the garage. From punching for children's books to the assembly of lipsticks: The field is broad, but the decision to boldly focus on robotics brings the breakthrough.
Baumann shifted its focus in 1991 and revolutionised the market in 1999 with the first standard robot cell. The ro|box symbolises this era. Mobile phone assembly and plant engineering for circulating pumps were decisive factors. New buildings are constructed every five years. The photovoltaic industry also benefited from Baumann's innovations.
The global breakthrough followed in 2010 with international service centres. Today, after over 40 years and more than 7,200 installed systems, Baumann is synonymous with innovative automation solutions in the fields of handling, assembly and test solutions. And the journey continues: with the number of employees doubling in the last five years and an impressive production area of 30,000 square metres, Oskar Baumann takes the helm, influenced by his father and ready to continue the vision.
