Number 8 all time Billboard, last I checked. From documentary. 78’ Tour in support of the album was lit. How Silver Springs was left off of the first press is still a mystery. Glad it made it on the remastered version.
"SILVER SPRINGS..an amazing song that was supposed to be on the Rumors Album but they cut it. Stevie Nicks wrote it about Lindsey Buckingham and performed it 20 years later with the band..at the concert " The Dance"!! It is an incredible performance from Stevie and she is literally screaming the lyrics while looking right at Lindsey!!
This is my quick story about Stevie Nicks: I saw her on tour in Las Vegas at the Aladdin hotel way back in the day. It was her solo tour after the breakup of Fleetwood Mac. There was no opening act, no closing act. Just her, in all of her mystical sorceress hypnotic stage presence. When she reached the end of her set list, before the final encore, she went around and gathered flowers from fans in the front row. Big lavish bouquets of spectacular flowers. While accepting these flowers someone stole her ring right off of her finger. She went back over to the microphone. She then had the lights turned off in the whole venue. The whole place went dark. I mean pitch black. Those of us not in the front row had no idea what was going on. Holy crap. And then Stevie said, “Someone stole my ring. These lights are going to remain off for five minutes and if my ring is not back on the stage at the end of the five minutes the concert is over.” I don’t think anybody left the room. The Aladdin Hotel Theater got eerily quiet. Five minutes later the stage lights came back on, she walked over to the edge of the stage and picked up her ring which somehow reappeared during the blackout, she put it on her finger and continued with two more encores. What a class act she is!!!
Yep. Gold dust refers to how valued it tends to be. Ur sunrise tends to go down bc you sleep all day and wake at night. It's very obvious once you know. Lol
Silver springs is one her most haunting songs about Lindsey. It is freaking beautiful! Hope maybe someday you can react to it. Oh, but you have to do the live version! Brilliant! Love y’all 😅
I saw Fleetwood Mac in concert in 1977 when they were at their peak. One of the greatest bands ever!! Check out "Landslide" and "Songbird" which is sung by the late Christine McVie. This band had a tumultuous history with each other but somehow managed to stay together and produced great music for decades. Rumours won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year in 1977. No other band like them in my opinion
I think this is the unsung hero off this album. It’s always been my favourite. It’s the only one with a little darkness to it and I love it for that. Plus Stevie’s vocals of course. The play out at the end is so great.
The live version of "Silver Springs" off The Dance concert dvd is a must listen for even the casual Fleetwood Mac fan. An excellent version of Gold Dust Woman on there as well.
Stevies 1980 solo break away concert was amazing to see. It was the final show of the tour, Her father introduced her. It was a cable Special (HBO, SHOWTIME, CINEMAX?). Goose bumps show. Waddy Wacthel Guitar, Russ Kunkle on Drums.
Went and saw them 10/12yrs ago with my daughter and Christine (RIP) was still alive and they still had it. So much talent in this band that 3 lead singers can bring! Great pick 8 ).
The Rumors LP was released Feb 4th of 77. My junior/senior yr of HS. Our generation was blessed with outstanding music. Rumors has sold 40 million copies worldwide. Loved your reaction, gentlemen ☝️.
The singer and guitarist were a couple that was braking up and fighting constantly during the recording. The bass player and piano player were married and going through a divorce as well. They were all writing songs that were attacking each other. The result for one of the best albums of all time.
When the Rumors Album came out every one of my friends had it.Lindsey Buckingham his Guitar playing is incredible we saw them twice and had great seats because back when we had to buy our tickets we had to camp outside all night we were most times first or in the top10in line. Rain or Snow each one taking turns in line. There were times that we had a keg party in the parking man the good old days. Keep reviewing music it is fun to see the same reaction we had when they came out.✌
I remember when my daughter was maybe 10 years old we were listening to Rumors and she said, “this is a really good ‘Greatest Hits’ album.” She still brings up how amazed she was at the fact that it wasn’t when she hears Rumors.
She's a Dra-gon ......! Never saw Stevie w/ Mac but solo about 5 times. Twice down in front & her air is regal. Even saw her 2 years ago & she still whips that band into a frenzy w/ Waddy on guitar.
Lyrically, it's a sad and intense song about breaking up... Stevie Nicks was splitting up w/ Fleetwood Mac guitarist Lindsey Buckingham and her sentiments captured her heartbreak & disappointment perfectly... For his part, Lindsey said that when he listens to 'Gold dust woman', all he can hear are the drugs... The extended outro of the song was the sound of he and the band trippin' on drugs... Even Stevie was improvising her vocals at the end and high as a kite.
Fleetwood Mac was 3 very different distinct bands. First formed with Peter Green… a great band.. listen to Albatross or Rattlesnake Shake,,, The Green Mandolini and Oh Well.. When that split up Bob Welch came in and took them in a different direction… When the second version broke up Mick Fleetwood found Lindsey Buckingham and his girlfriend Stevie Nicks and 3rd time was a charm… Fleetwood Mac became a top record selling act…
I said before..... Check out the documentary "SOUND CITY". This Fleetwood Mac album as sooooo many other ICONIC 70's album were recorded at that studio.... the studio eventually shut down but DAVE GHROL of the Foo Fighters bought the ANALOG mixing board for the studio that he built, "STUDIO 606". It's a 2013 documentary.... As Muscle Shoals was to the 60's and 70's in the south..... Sound City was LA in the 70's and 80',s
Spent many many afternoons skipping classes after lunch break, hanging in the basement rec room with my friends, getting high, and listening to Fleetwood Mac and Lou Reed. 😂❤
Great reaction. Rumors was a huge album... Saw them for the "tusk" tour. Mick Fleetwood a master drummer, and Lindsay Buckingham as great a guitarist as any of them... Watch the documentary on UA-cam, "Sound City"
One of my fave Fleetwood Mac songs! ♥ I suggest these 2 Fleetwood Mac songs: Little Lies & Hold Me Seems like these 2 songs are rarely requested, but for me they're my fave 2 FM songs Just to be clear, these aren't deep cuts. Both were hit songs
+1 to those who have already commented. "Rumors" is a stone solid classic record, not a bad track on it. Lindsay and Stevie writing and singing their breakup, everyone else in the band having relationship problems, all that emotion fueling the sessions. Add that Mick Fleetwood and John McVie are a top notch rhythm section who are virtually telepathic they've played togetherr so long. It's a marvelous record, and songs from this album were all over the radio for years.
Fleetwood Mac with the girls is the best version of Fleetwood Mac but you should check them out pre Stevie and Christi. Old Mac is a pure blues band. They wrote black magic woman. One of my favorites is “ ohh well part 1”
🎸💯 Another great reaction choice‼️🔥 Rumours is definitely 1 of the best albums EVER recorded‼️Fleetwood Mac was 1 of the best groups EVER, too‼️That era of music was so completely addictive & what an amazing, crazy time to be young‼️The very best years of my life‼️☮️❤️🎶
Fleetwood Mac rumors is a real gem. When that album came out that's all you heard. All the songs are great on it. No other band had such a distinctive sound like Fleetwood Mac did. Stevie Nicks had such a sexy, yet haunting voice.
Great song, actually my favorite all time from them! Fantastic lyrics, I hope y’all had them pulled up on another screen while reacting as some of the lyrics are difficult to understand, especially those at the end of the song.
Rumors is arguably a top ten album in all of rock history and required to have in any collection. It is a masterpiece.
Or Rumours if you're a Brit :)
I have my original vinyl!
Yeah, those first couple FM albums, after Stevie & Lindsey joined are just incredible.
One of the great albums of all time
Number 8 all time Billboard, last I checked. From documentary. 78’ Tour in support of the album was lit. How Silver Springs was left off of the first press is still a mystery. Glad it made it on the remastered version.
If you lived in the suburbs in the 70s you were automatically issued this album. It came in the mail with samples of Tide.
LMFAO
LOL
Lol
Along with Frampton Comes Alive! Lol
lol 😂
This is one of those albums that there are no bad tracks on it. Period.
Its in my top 10 all time favorites.
Stevie’s vocals with Lindsay’s harmonies were incredible
“Rulers Make Bad Lovers. You better Put Your Kingdom Up For Sale”
Agree
Straight up one of the best albums ever recorded
Lindsey is an underrated guitar player.
Criminally Underrated!
One good record. That’s it….
@@KennyCamaro2364 LOL.
@@KennyCamaro2364you obviously aren’t familiar with post FM work.
And all-time arrogant asshole.

Definitely listen to THE DANCE!!! Better yet, watch the video!
An album where you just push play and walk away. Start to finish every track is a classic.
Agreed. I bought the album in '77 for Go Your Own Way, got home played the whole thing and was blown away. Not one bad track, period.
One of the best recorded albums ever.
Yes. Each instrument and singer is clearly exposed. Which for players at this caliber is what's wanted.
This is my quick story about Stevie Nicks:

What a class act she is!!!
Stevie has said she wrote this song about cocaine.
"Take your silver spoon and dig your grave"
Yep. Gold dust refers to how valued it tends to be. Ur sunrise tends to go down bc you sleep all day and wake at night. It's very obvious once you know. Lol
Christie McVie has an angelic voice. Everywhere and Songbird are two of many beautiful FM songs lead by her
Songbird is one of the most beautiful songs ever.
Love everywhere
I love that you actually let the song play , then react, much better experience thank you!
Silver springs is one her most haunting songs about Lindsey. It is freaking beautiful! Hope maybe someday you can react to it. Oh, but you have to do the live version! Brilliant!
Love y’all 😅
Rumors is easily in the top 5 records of all time. Every single song was iconic
An absolute incredible song from an absolute incredible album.
This is one of those Albums that doesn't have a bad song on it..The Dance is the same way..
This is Stevie and Lindsey at their best.
Stevie is so haunting.
Incredible.
The spookiness in this track is intentional as she’s singing about her drug addiction. Love this one :)
She made me cry, she made me breakdown, she shattered my illusions of love! 💔
Stevie’s voice is hauntingly beautiful 😍 a perfect match to Fleetwood’s songs. 👌🏼
A perfect match because she's also the writer of most of the songs she's the lead singer for.
Y'alls insight into artist you've never heard is truly astounding to me!
Have you reacted to Fleetwood Mac pre Stevie and Lindsay? I recommend a song called "Hypnotized". You'll love it.
Absolutely!
Hypnotized is crazy good.
Early Fleetwood is seriously bluesy. Different vibe.
The Bob Welch era was great.
Hypnotized is an excellent song.

40 million copies sold world wide so far. Whoever doesn't own a copy of this great album might as well pick one up.
I wanna go back to the 70s!!
Rumors is one of the great albums of all time. enough said.
Stevie is top tier on every song!
I think this is the unsung hero off this album. It’s always been my favourite. It’s the only one with a little darkness to it and I love it for that. Plus Stevie’s vocals of course. The play out at the end is so great.
Rumours is still The Album to Own! Just damn good music!
The live version of "Silver Springs" off The Dance concert dvd is a must listen for even the casual Fleetwood Mac fan. An excellent version of Gold Dust Woman on there as well.

Now that is how you end off one of the greatest albums ever...spooky!
Definitely one of my favorite songs from them.
I was first introduced to GDW on The Dance version, that performance was very dark and in many ways had me in a trance.
I love Fleetwood Mac ❤ and this was the first album I ever heard by them 40 yrs ago.
Great song classic
My fav FM song. Great harmonies. The buildup is so effective and the simple drum beat really works.
Went and saw them 10/12yrs ago with my daughter and Christine (RIP) was still alive and they still had it. So much talent in this band that 3 lead singers can bring! Great pick 8 ).
Self confession is sometimes the greatest music. Stevie confesses to us all and gives us the mournful dark woman she once was.
The Rumors LP was released Feb 4th of 77. My junior/senior yr of HS. Our generation was blessed with outstanding music. Rumors has sold 40 million copies worldwide. Loved your reaction, gentlemen ☝️.
If you love their hypnotic beats and harmonies, check out Brown Eyes from their Tusk album.
Back when Albums had 10 great songs got your money's worth
Stevie's songs plus Lindsay's arrangements plus The Mac's execution equals pure gold (actually platinum).
Lindsay was the secret sauce brought it all together
@@kramerbassplayer Amen, and Mick was only looking for a guitar player. This is called falling into a gold mine.

AS SOON as I saw this I clicked ...this one is rarely reacted to...WHAT A FANTASTIC VIBE...Love it STILL. Thanks guys.
There is a reason that this album is still selling.
And we just heard a snippet of it.💜🎶💜
Great song, great album, great group

Genius of a record 😮
Check out “Hypnotized” and be amazed! These are a band of musicians!
Oh hell yeah! 👍🏻 ❤

My mother wore the grooves out of this album. This being her favorite song.
If gold dust woman, Dr. Feelgood, Mr Brownstone and the master of puppets all got together, it’s gonna be your last party, honey😂😂😂
One of those songs where you expect it to break open into a baller but it never does, the tension just builds and builds.
My favorite song on a flawless album.
Spent many many afternoons skipping classes after lunch break, hanging in the basement rec room with my friends, getting high, and listening to Fleetwood Mac and Lou Reed. 😂❤
This is their best album.
I just saw Stevie song this live about three weeks ago. She still sounds amazing to be 75.
Great reaction. Rumors was a huge album...
Saw them for the "tusk" tour.
Mick Fleetwood a master drummer, and Lindsay Buckingham as great a guitarist as any of them...
Watch the documentary on UA-cam, "Sound City"
Never fails. Happened again just now. Goosebumps, chills down the spine, always at least once while listening to this song, always.
"Go Your Own Way" and "Monday Morning" feature Lindsey Buckingham on vocals. You should give them a listen also! Thank you!
The chain, dream, Rhiannon all so good
One of my fave Fleetwood Mac songs! ♥ I suggest these 2 Fleetwood Mac songs: Little Lies & Hold Me
Seems like these 2 songs are rarely requested, but for me they're my fave 2 FM songs
Just to be clear, these aren't deep cuts. Both were hit songs
They’re mesmerizing in concert!
my favorite Fleetwood Mac song. it's haunting.......
My favorite song from this lineup.
This album is awesome in several dimensions…x, y, z, t, q, warp, dark matter, fusion, fission, et cetera…
In my top five FM songs. Sometimes my absolute favorite. Another is Rhiannon. I like the dark “witchy” vibes.
The ladies made the Mac special.

Nice follow-up guys. John & Mick have been the heart and soul of Fleetwood Mac for 40 plus years.
The arrangement on this one is a definite echo of the Peter Green period of Fleetwood Mac - songs like "Green Manalishi" and "Black Magic Woman"
Rumours is a classic album!
Best use of a cowbell ever.
Just thank you
I love you guys
I don’t know anybody who didn’t have this album, myself included. Still love it all these years later.

Just another 70’s incredible collection of talent.
Ok, you like this, now do Oh Daddy. Christine at some of her best, with that Lindsey touch like Gold dust woman.
This was good, guys.
In my opinion, this is the best track on the whole album. It just kicks a$$.
A good hypnotic song from them with Stevie singing is Sara. For the ultimate drum song try Tusk from the official video or The Dance.
Excellent track guys!! You should really considering doing this as an entire album review... stellar!! Thanks guys!!
Freedom Overspill great Winwood song
Yes, this has tremendous atmosphere. It is one of the best songs of theirs IMO. What a way to end a wonderful album! ❤🔥
