This music (percussion) it's traditional temple ceremonies, with Hinduisme religion, this mistic music brought them on the way of the Heaven. Really so greatest percussion and feeling so deeply. Loves Bali
The gamelan is really a set of instruments, like xylophones and gongs, they are very rare, I only know of one of the most complete sets in the US and that is in Portland.

I love the musical transition from haunting West Java, to mystical Central Java, and finally to frantic ecstatic East Java and Bali
Definitely reflects their history and regional dynamics (anarchic rebellious East Java, courtly conservative Central Java, and aloof West Java).
