Sadly the English app has a very small community. top English puzzle channel has 6k subs. but in japan over a million the guy was even in youtube rewind 2015. fun game very heavy with IAP though

So it wouldn't be hard to imagine they've watched other Mindcrackers. Also, I have hitchhiker's thumb from my dad as well, but on both my thumbs. People like to joke that they looked like they were smashed with hammers. lol Finally, my girlfriend and I have discussed the idea of moving to the west coast some day (around the region from northern CA to WA), so it was interesting to know they really liked Seattle, which is where I'm most curious about. I currently live in PA (not even 2-3 hours from MC if I'm correct), and I just wanna get out of here already. There are a lot of nice areas in PA for sure, even around where I live, but a lot of places in the southwest are just the worst. Tried "inching" my way out but it's generally a pretty bad area, so I'm preparing for one huge move/change someday to get far away. The sooner the better.

Knife - using a knife takes skill. Using a bat is something a special-ed caveman can do. If the guy attacking you isn't trained in how to use a knife, he'll do it wrong. You can't screw up swinging a bat at someone's face.
They're waaaaay easier to disarm without getting hurt by though. One whack with a bat can disable you completely but getting cut by a knife most likely won't hurt you so bad that you can't retaliate. Also: slashes aren't as likely to cause life threatening injuries as a stab would do so that's actually preferable.

One got stabbed in the stomach and grabbed the other guy's hand and knocked him out before he could make another move. Doubt that would have worked if it was a bat.
