You could tell from 2016 that there's some kind of rebellion going on in Hell, maybe when the Slayer kills the head honcho Hell will go through a full on civil war and revolution. That is, assuming the Slayer forgets to kill ALL the demons lol.
A theory of mine: The worlds of Hexen and Heretic were also conquered by DOOM's Hell at some point in time, and their ruins ended up in the Great Steppe as a warning to any other realm that tried to defy it. Corrax and the rest of the Serpent Lords were either promoted, resurrected (if they were still dead until that point) or devoured by the other Demons out of usual spite, but not before He managed to write a codex of everything he saw in Hell, in Argentia and in the other conquered realms.
Currently playing through Eternal and I can see how even Doom 3 can fit into the lore as well - the Lost City of Hebeth is very likely the ancient Martian ruins they found in D3. Conveniently, the lost city was famous for its teleportation/portal technology... and it was lost to history due to reasons unknown. And the Soul Cube (which has cameos in both Doom 2016 and Eternal) could easily be Maykr technology, and it was wielded by some great Argenta warrior.
Okay, if Demons have been established as Humans that have their souls ripped from them through the Soul Spires (10:58), than how are Lost Souls Demons (1:00)? And if they're just souls, how have they escaped the Soul Harvesters?
@MrNahual2099 That could make sense, but a Lost Soul is the lowest of the low, so it's soul should be harvested, and yet by it's very name, it's an actual human soul turned demonic, not a lack of a soul TO turn demonic...

I think the RPG games are a separate timeline from the main ID timeline, which I think are Spear of Destiny then Wolfenstein 3D then Return to Castle Wolfenstein followed by the original Commander Keen games then Doom 1 followed by Doom 2 then Doom 64 finally Doom '16 and Doom Eternal. The end of Wolf 3D is in reference to Doom RPG. The Demon in Wolf RPG looks more like the classic and Eternal version of the Cyberdemon, look at the horns, so even if the RPG games link up with the new games why would only the Wolf RPG and not the Doom RPG where he ends up fighting the Cyberdemon that has the same kind of horns and overall looks more like the Demon in Wolf RPG then the Cyberdemon in Doom '16 does.
