Zoom Testing DH SD6CE245U HNI 45x Optical 16x Digital

The zoom indicator in the top right of the screen only shows the optical zoom. Once the indicator stops at 45 and the image is still being zoomed, then the digital zoom is being used. This Dahua camera has a resolution of 1920(H) x 1080(V).

@@lulukamz My Dahua PTZ has a 30x optical, and 12x digital zoom. I've had it for about 7 years and it still works great. Even when it's max zoomed out, optical + digital, the picture still looks good because of the HD sensor. Just like the one in the video.

Please, let me know what kind of microphone attached to this camera?

I always use built-in microphones from another nearby camera. I share the audio to this PTZ camera in software. I found the best audio is from the eyeball style cameras. For this camera I now use the audio from a Dahua T5442TM-ASE. Make sure to turn off the Noise Filter setting for the microphone. By default, Dahua has this setting turned on. If you leave it turned on, the audio will be very poor.

@@lulukamz thank you very much. I thought there is easy way to connect external microphone. (In the menu there is option Mic/Line-in, but it isn't work). And it is very expensive to use dedicated cable for active microphone 12v power

I tried an external microphone on this camera but I got radio interference mixed in with the microphone audio. I could not get rid of the radio interference. Since my other cameras have built-in microphone and no radio interference, it is much easier to just share the audio using software. It is also requires less wires going to the camera, as the external microphone needed to have power source near the camera.

If you compare 25x zoom from your other video of the Dahua DH SD49225T HN, you will see that this one at 25x has less zoom, so is it truly a 45x camera?

You may be right. When you zoom out on both cameras, the image is quite different.
