@@jeffy7360 Right! I live outside of Chicago and I'm looking at condos in Gatlinburg and property taxes are like $25 to $50 a month! Cant wait to move!!
There for awhile it seemed more tourists was staying in Pigeon Forge instead of visiting Gatlinburg. I wonder if they still allow parking on the main street in the winter? The town used to be just about closed for the winters traffic was so slow. I too live about thirty minutes away in Sevierville now.
I'm only half way through the video. Will have to finish it later. I just wanted to mention what a relief it is seeing how much the town has thrived after the massive fire a couple of years ago. I visited right after the fire and lots of things were closed and there was a lot of damage. I used to visit Gatlinburg almost yearly as a child, I'm 34 now. Crazy how things have changed but stayed the same also. There never as many mountain coasters as there are now. Hopefully I can visit again soon and ride some of them and visit some of the new attractions. Such a wonderful place. Thanks for sharing your experience with us! :)
Lived here in East Tennessee all my life, I'm 40 mins away and one of my favorite things to do is picnicking at the Chimney Tops Picnic Area. Absolutely gorgeous area, a nice rocky creek to play in, trails, restrooms and lots of tables. Check it out it's a great place to picnic/grill out and just sit back and relax and listen to the sounds of the water.
The last time I was in Gatlinburg my son was 10 -- he is 33 now. We are planning a trip down in a couple months and it looks like a LOT has changed in 24 years!
I'm from Houston and just returned from a vacation in the Smoky Mountains. I had no idea about Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge, blew my mind. It's like Vegas for families/kids.
I came across your video... And I loved the way gave an opinion of everything..... And this is why I plan to travel there in a few days away.... Last minute vacation on the cheap. Thanks for that video that help me decide. 👍
Very nice video. Getting a cabin for Christmas all our 3 sons and their families spending Christmas 2020! Looking forward to the trip. Your video gave me some great ideas for outings. Thanks again!
I’m a foreigner and I worked here from June to August in 2016 and were really fantastic, it was my first 3 months in USA but was sad to see fire there and now it doesn’t look the same as before but getting better, great smoky mountains 💪💪
So happy this randomly popped up in my feed! I haven’t been to Gatlinburg since the Worlds Fair in 1983 😂 So much has changed and been added there in the last 40 years. Gotta start planning a family trip there with the wife and kids now. Thanks for the awesome video and tons of great suggestions and advice 👍

We always go when we want to go on a last minute vacation it’s about 3 and a half hours from me and we’ve been twice in the past two months and had a blast. Every time it was an hour decision and we was on our way. I recommend everything you said alsooo don’t miss the samples!
I'll be going up there with a group of 3 friends and I this July and I can't wait. We're going up from New Orleans, Louisiana, and are looking forward to the trip. Awesome video!
We go quarterly give or take. Mostly for birthdays as a day trip (we live a little over an hour away). This summer we are staying for 2 weeks for the first time. We are looking forward to it
I'm glad it looks a lot better than when I last went. I'm from Tennessee and this was our favorite place to go. We went a little after the fires. And you weren't about to get of the sky lift. It made me so sad to see the trees that had been burnt and still not fully recovered. It looks so amazing. Can't wait to visit again.
I've been here since Sunday and I love this place. So much to do the Hot Rod show is this week and it's awesome. The mountains are gorgeous we went white water rafting and I had a ball
Gatlinburg is hands down the best place to visit in the United States. I live close to it and ive been hundreds of times and still havent seen everything
This along with your video of things to do in nearby Pigeon Forge was very helpful. My parents asked me what else there is to do in this park of Tennessee besides Dollywood and I could easily see us spending a few days doing a few things in both towns (not to mention Wilderness at the Smokies and Soaky Mountain Waterpark in Severville).
Stumbled upon your page and have to say: you definitely provide a TON of info. Very thorough. I appreciate u telling us the prices etc... visiting Gatlinburg /pigeon forge in a year and wanted to start researching what to do.
I heard this part in the video, stopped it, and scrolled to the comments, because I was sure there would be someone talking about it, and first up was your comment! So funny!
Thanks for fun and the views are breathtaking beautiful. I love USA,because every state has their own types of attractions that are unique for each one,God bless us all and all,YES!!
I went to mysterious mansion with my mom when I was about 9. Only one guy was working and when he dropped out of the ceiling for a scare he ripped his pants. It was great. He was great. 10/10 would recommend
I liked Ripley's Haunted House over the Mysterious Manson. Sweet Fannie Adams is very funny and worth seeing. The Cooter's place is the second one. The first was closer to entrance to Gatlinburg from the spur. They tore it down to put in shops there. Had the tow truck there and Cooter was there most of the time. The Mountain Mall used to have a really great tea shop. It also have/had a good cigar shop too. I lived there for 11 years. To me its a far better place to visit then to live. I have not been back there much in the last 4+ years and it has changed a lot. I also didn't realized they put in so many moonshine and wine places now. It used to more t-shirt shops, LOL. Great video, thank you for showing off Gatlinburg.
That's not even half of what you can do in that area especially if you like the out doors ,but this is a great video of just one part of the Smoky Mountains.
I always wanted to go on the Earthquake ride but growing up my dad would say it looked silly and a waste of money. So when I went on my honeymoon, we did all the cheesy stuff I never got to do on family vacations. No regrets. It was hilariously bad. The Jurassic boat ride too. We have so many memories to laugh about now!
Very cool thank you....I was just there about 10 days ago but by myself so just looked around a bit and went hiking in the Smokys...definitely gonna come have fun with family next time.
Spent my honeymoon there in 1985. Divorced her in 1991. I hold no ill will towards Gatlinburg though. As a matter of fact my second and last wife have been there several times since.
