My best 5 of the new castings are: GMA T50S, Pagani Utopia, Huracan Sterrato, the Fiat 500D a d the Porsche 911 Rallye(idk why they don't call It Dakar)
Dang the 67 Lotus Type 49 doesn’t get a mention? One full metal metal casting they had to spend money and develop for one car vs. one they can reuse 979 times throughout the years. That one takes the cake for me from a mainline perspective but to each their own 🤷♂️
The Honda S800 being one of your worst cars of 2024 is honestly criminal, it's one of my best car of 2024, along with the VW T3 Custom, the De Tomaso Pantera, the Pagani Utopia, the 904 Carrera GTS, and the 67 Lotus Type 49. And The T.50S is nice, but I'm more exited for the road going T50
Best: Bone Shaker (obviously), ALL from HW Rolling Metal, & Quarter Mile Heroes, Flippin' Fast, Ford Mustang Dark Horse, Mazda RX-7 (Black), RRRoadster (International Women's Day car), Lamborghini Huracan LP 620-2 Super Trofeo, Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato, 24/Seven, Cadillac Project GTP Hypercar, Celero GT, Audi 90 Quattro, DMC DeLorean Worst: Brickin' Delivery, Draggin' Wagon, Hirohata Merc (recolor), HW UItimate T-Rex Transporter (both colors), 5 Alarm (Blue), ALL from HW Mega Bite, Mitsubishi Pajero Evolution, Honda Super Cub Custom, Surf Duty (Red) 2024 was a VERY promising year for Hot Wheels! Can't wait for me to find the good ones in 2025!
Spot on video, still watching though mate. Just want to say I've only been collecting properly for a month now. Found two chase nissan '64 prince GT's on monday, still buzzing as we speak! 👍
I became obsessed with the Hirohata Mercury (both versions). My second pick would be the '67 Lotus Type 49. It looks more like an old Matchbox than a new Hot Wheels. Third pick would be the yellow '70 Charger Art Car with the psychedelic graphics, despite the pink and purple tires.
I always have one more category for my best returning castings. This is a big one for me ,because I love seeing older castings return. There were so many I could easily come up with a top 10. I only include castings that have been absent for more than five years For Hot Wheels originals: 1. Purple Passion 2. Piranha Terror In fact the Mega Bite was one of my favorite returning series. 3. Grass Chomper Love this motorized Lawn Mower. I tracked all the previous ones down this year. Including the 2020 T.H. best Licensed Return 1. '49 Drag Merc easily my favorite comeback. Lost its wheelie bar, but still super excited for this one. 2. King Kuda I believe it's been absent since 2019. Loved its Art cars comeback. 3. '64 Chevelle SS Beautiful in Red. Massive Muscle car. least interesting returns: None. I get super excited whenever any older casting returns.
most of the models this year were really good, especially the new models (utopia, gma, model s plaid, etc). however, i expected more new cars from them like 911 gt3 rs or anything. tho for me the no.1 best would be (for new models) is the utopia, and for the recolors its the jesko in purple
I do like the Honda s800 if, for any reason, it adds to old and line. Using the s2000 as a new car, the deco problem can be solved by going front, rear makings ratherthe the side. For the most part, it is a pretty strong line of cars for 2024.
well everyone has their choices. These are mine. First up Hot Wheels originals top 3. My top 2 are either incarnations or modified versions of two of my favorite castings. 1. Drift N Break Eveything about this castings is solid. Except the name. This casting deserved better than an adjective for its name. How about Veloci-Fish 2. Hi-Roller II Since it arrived so late in the year it might be my favorite for 2025. I love the design and the casting it pays homage to. 3. Mailed It! Love this toon'd Drag Mail Truck. It's like my new Kool Kombie. Changing worst to least interesting and I only have two. 1. Flippin' Fast it's ok for those who play on the track. It always lands on its wheels. 2. toon'd Mazda RX-3 I'm starting to notice all these new tuners look too much like the previous. Licenced castings: 1. Aston Martin DB4GT High Speed edition A Muscle Car Aston Martin. 'nuff said. 2. Hirohata Merc love those old classic coups. Least interesting licenced 1. Triumph Tiger motorbike I hate that it doesn't stand on its own, and just kinda looks like a drone bike. 2. Czinger Z21 Looks like a drone car. Kinda boring. Maybe if they put some tampos on it. Treasue Hunts Best 1. '59 Chevy Impala Anything with "Dia De Muertos" design is always tops for me. 2. Purple Passion Just the fact that it returns to the Mainline is enough reason for me, but it was also an Art Car. least interesting THs 1. Draggin' Wagon I have to agree, but this was also a issed opportunity for Hot Wheels. It should have been released in gold chrome. 2. Custom Honda bike Not really a fan of Motorbike THs STHs. 1. Volvo P1800 Gasser Love gassers and I actually found two of these beauties riding on my favorite color for a car. 2. '77 Pontiac Firebird T/A probably be my favorite if I hadn't found the Volvo Gasser. THis one I had to purchase. 😠 least interesting STH 1. Ford Escort RS200 2. Mercedes Benz 5560 SEC AMG Nothing against the castings. I just find plain jane STHs a little boring. TBH I didn't really care for the '18 Camaro SS
Ya...they have made some that are trash, and even a toilet bowl shit stain. When 90% of the cases are junk, the pegs overflow. They need to improve on casting across the board. Atleast half the case should be attractive models.
Does the DeLorean Alpha5 count as a new for 2024 Mainline? I think so, because it has never been in the Basic Mainline before, although it was in an RLC. I am asking you this question, because I am wondering why isn't it there, along with the other licensed mainline castings. And I also really like the car. The part of the rear window that was made part of the metal body of the casting is actually bugging me out, though. But that's the only thing I don't like about this Hot Wheels casting. I think they did a great job on it. I really do. It's amongst my most favorite new licensed mainline castings of 2024. I hope you reply to my comment, thanks in advance. Anyways, for me, the worst car from the licensed basic mainline casting for 2024, is the '23 RAM 1500 TRX. Why? Because it's a squatted truck. And I hate squatted trucks.
No. The Delorean Alpha5 casting debuted in 2023 in the Hot Wheels RLC Collector set. Although it debuted as a mainline in 2024, it’s not considered new for 2024.

Hotwheel hunting ain’t been too good for me the last 3 to 4 years due to not being able to find anything on the pegs folks at stores holding boxes for this group of collectors who seem get everything. I believe they have folks at these stores who call them when they get em in. So I barely do any collecting now so the hobby is not as rewarding as it once was. I’m not paying flea market prices for any of them. Tho it about purchasing them by the case but we’ll see. I did manage to find a hitohata merc and a lotus and there are also some others but they went directly into a box as I don’t open mine but if I can get that Aston Martin and that VW van joint I’d be happy
If you dont like that ford escort give it to meeeeee, i think its beautiful, ill truly appreciate the car, ill take care of it for you I promise. It’ll also be my first super treasure hunttt
My opinion is that the Pagani the color of it just doesn't make sense like if it was in black the car would look sexy like a motherlover not this cream color I don't like it and the Honda what kind of Honda is that like to the jdm people like this one is for yall
My understanding is that the Mo Stash is for placing under your nose as a pretend mustache, as kids for whom mainline Hot Wheels are generally designed for, can not grow one of their own to comb. 🥸

Oops forgot the ‘49 Drag Merc. Gorgeous
‘49 drag merc isn’t a new model
Hey the Calero GT is my favorite
Nice! I found the Nissan STH at a Dollar Tree a couple weeks ago and the Lambo STH at Target last week! So pumped to find them!
They didn't put a Dark Horse badge on the fenders, Bummer!
That green bus is the Kowloon Supervan, a souped up Hong Kong green public minibus
The Ford maverick custom truck is so underrated, it has really nice details
Spot on video, still watching though mate.

I think the Gordon Murray casting is terrible. The larger rear wheels absolutely ruin it for me.
The Huracan sterrato can not legally be one of the worst, it’s literally one of the best new cars

the sterato and 928 seem great castings. my favourite is the caddlilac gtp, its very fine and has plenty of detail, only missing a great livery.
