How come nobody mentiones the shift is the reason everyone is not trying for base hits cause ball that would be base hits are outs now get rid of the shift

GREAT INTERVIEW. Strikeouts are the most annoying thing in baseball. You CANT help your team striking out. And for goodness sake allow the shift. A $100M player needs to learn to hit it where they ain’t. There’s a craft to hitting not just hitting the weight room. Ichiro one of the smallest players but one of the best hitters all time still had power. You could argue there’s no talent in the game hitting wise anymore.

they do use susstances in high school and college, Trevor Bauer and other pitchers have said that their coaches taugh them how to mix things to use in the ball, its wrong but its part of the game just like stealing sings

Baseball goes through cycles. Ty Cobb had the season record for the most stolen bases with something like 90 in 1920, then for about 40 years the season high was 15, then Lou Brock revived the stealing of bases in the 1970s. So the changes from 1970 is kind of typical.

Maury Wills set that record in 1962 {104 } & lead the N.L for 6 years in a row ! Brock broke his record in 1974 season ! NEED to get your facts correct ? And Luis Aparicio lead the A.L for 9 years in a row , 21 was his low in his rookie season & ALL were over 15 steals per year ? Bert Campaneris lead the A.L for 6 years in a row & 7 out of 8 years in mid 1960's to early 1970"s .
