One of the easiest facts you forgot to mention is the whole line is a loop with many more mini loops in between. I believe SE HS operate full loop down to Ramsgate via Ashford and Dover Priory and then come up back via the Chatham Mainline
Thank you very much pal - your channel is a real favourite of mine so this is a very special sub for me indeed. Take care and have a good rest of your week 🥂
Thanks very much CMG, very kind and have subbed in return! Glad you enjoyed it - this video has blown up out of nowhere recently so there’s been a brig surge in subscribers since, hopefully that continues but I’m just enjoying the journey for now 😃
@@trainsonthebrain thanks a lot mate, appreciated. i’m sure if you keep making videos of that quality and originality you’ll be getting those kind of views consistently! :)
Hi TYT! Don’t think I ever replied to this - was stuck in a “Held for review” section for some reason. Thanks for your support as always and hope you’re keeping well!
Thanks pal - was a lot a fun to research. Definitely a unique TOC. Looking forward to the pandemic calming down so I can get out and grab some more of them - would love to tick off all 29 Javelin sets!
Thanks Jacob! That’s definitely in the pipeline. Hopefully once the pandemic calms down I can get back out on the road and shoot more footage - currently using working with photos and my own shot-footage, but GWR is definitely one I want to work on!
Another fact: On the class 395's if you require the disabled facilities and they have not made an announcement on which end of the train this is located, as the train is approaching if you look at the nose of the train and see what looks like yellow headlights they are on the front of the train if not then start walking to the back as it will be on the last car.
@@trainsonthebrain No problem was told by a SE platform staff member if you look at the video thumb nail and at 0:04 into the video you can see them, at 0:04 they are next to the mask sticker on the nose. Makes is so much easier rather then watching the train go by looking for an orange sticker then having to run to the ether end of the train with some one in a wheel chair
At 3.46 was it my ears or did you say Dartmouth instead of Dartford ?!!!. Might just be me, getting old ha ha. Thoroughly enjoyed this video about trains in my part of the UK. 👍
Cheers NK! Indeed, Govia’s portfolio is quite varied in terms of different brands and services and also in terms of passenger satisfaction it seems. I’ve nothing against them personally, but I don’t think the rebrand to ‘Southern’ to hark back to the old days has worked as well as the gWr rebrand for instance. Interesting. You’ll enjoy the next video in this series by the way, watch this space.
Think you’re right! Good spot! Thanks for viewing. Quick question for you - How did you find this video? It has been exploding with new viewers recently so just curious 😃
The two car BR Class 466 Networker can now only run coupled to the BR Class 465 Networker as they do not come up to the new disability standard of January 2021
You’re quite correct Owen, thanks for flagging that. Moment of madness from me there! I’ll add this as a correction in the description. Thanks for watching, hope you enjoyed the rest of the video 👍

3:35 dartmouth? i had no idea they ran that far 😂
Hadn't you heard? New long distance excursions 😂 ...
Wow, really informative :)
Thanks WLR! Hope you're well!
Fact #102, Southeastern just got nationalised.
Indeed! Going to need to do an updated version of this at some point I fear.
Here is another: the bridge at Gravesend station was removed and put into a large museum as it was so old.
Great facts👍. When is the Thameslink episode coming out❓
Tonight 😃 Had to cover a shift last minute and want to make some quick amends and then it will go out to the masses 💪
Cool, I can’t wait😄
Do you have an estimated time❓

Correction the 508s weren't scrapped, they went back to Liverpool
6:00 yeah, not the isle of sheppey version, that's the ramsgate version, isle of sheppey version of minster don't have a train station
Southeastern is now owned by Department for Transport .

my local operator lol. It’s weird how govia owns southern and southeastern, yet southeastern is so much better

Same
Reason: Because it has the Class 465 and your local station is operated by Southeastern xD
The Southern Railway next please!!
Thanks Jake, on my to do list!
10:59 sounds like the class 395's
amazing
Thanks pal
Bonus fact: The first few 707s have entered test runs on Southeastern.
The 'City Bean' train is a name, (plus with metro lines).
I like the High speed
2:18 what about Ore station isn’t there one Southeastern train a day?
You might be right!
2:20 my station :D
Nice area!
I personally think that Southeastern is the best train operator. With their trains being maintained properly and such great services.

The most northernly station on Southeastern is Stratford, not St Pancras.
