My thoughts on 5 of the 10 Phlur fragrances launched in 2022. Since I shot this video I got to sample the remainder of the Phlur fragrances at Selfridges in London. When I smelled Missing Person, it made me start crying, it’s the weirdest thing - it totally reminds me of a scent someone used to wear (or at least how she used to smell?) and I absolutely love it.
I could totally see Missing Person having that effect on someone. It is very nostalgic for me as well because it reminds me slightly of my dearly beloved Narciso Rodriguez Musc Intense which was discontinued years ago. (The one in the pinky black bottle). It was my signature scent back in the day and it just reminds me of a happier era when the world seemed nicer.

Whilst I may not purchase, I really appreciate your beautiful introduction to the brand and the thought that must have gone into making these beautiful fragrances, the notes sound stunning and I am sure will be enjoyed by many

Great reviews of these scents! I’ve loved Phlur since before the rebrand. One of the best from Phlur (I think) is Hanami, which was part of their original line. It’s a creamy, figgy, woody scent with a hint of white florals. This was a wonderful video - enjoyed hearing your thoughts on this line!
Phlur to my ear sound lovely esp for my Florida family; I'm glad you mentioned layering as I'm thinking there will be good to layer; Tangerine is one of my favorite citruses as it's softer and to me more floral. Thanks for this video.
Sebastian you really got me interested in wanting to try Tangerine Boy. I like citrus scents certainly to wear in the summer so I will have to check out that one. I like that they have small sizes that are less expensive as well. so that we can try and upgrade to a large later. Great video as always.

I have Somebody Wood and Tangerine Boy. I like them both. As soon as I sprayed Tangerine Boy, it reminded me of Orange Sanguine. I really like the bottles/packaging of this line. I need to try Lost Cause now. Thanks!!

Tangerine Boy sounds amazing. But I have heard so many great things about Missing Person. I love skin scents.
I’m wearing Missing Person today! I woke up with a little headache, so I wanted something mild. I think it’s really lovely!
I’m obsessed with missing person. I like to layer this with fenty skin body butter and spray immediately after a shower. It’s a great scent for if you work in the office for sure. It reminds me of clean reserve skin too. I feel like it is similar to jhag but there’s a few differences why I opt for this over jhag. I’m an oversprayer. I can spray missing person on my clothes and I can still smell the scent by the end of my day. Jhag I don’t get that. I loved this video!
I really like wearing tangerine boy and apricot privee to the gym. They make me feel happy and energized.
I tried a sample of Tangerine Boy. Unfortunately, I did not like it. Going to try Phloria and Lost Cause next.

The dry down of Tangerine Boy reminds me of the 2008 version of Dior Homme Sport that had that ginger note. It's a really nice fragrance.
I have 2 of the white square bottles, Moab and Hepcat. Both are great but Moab is my fav :)

I got Tangerine Boy recently and it’s delicious! Missing Person on me is strong and lasts long. I also got the body care for both perfumes and they’re both very fragrant!

I don’t have an extensive perfume selection and haven’t smelled a large number of perfumes, so all of these sound exciting and delicious.
i looove pairing phlur tangerine boy with le labo fleur d’oranger 27. it enhance the orange blossom notes and makes it a juicier
I tried Tangerine boy today at Sephora, and BOY….. it’s amazing.
Missing Person reminds me of Sunflowers by Elizabeth Arden. Not sure how accurate it is but that’s the ‘memory’ and familiarity part of it for me: the elementary school teachers and glamorous church grannies of my childhood.
YES! Thank you! That’s probably why so many people have a memory of smelling it. Sunflowers was such a popular scent for a bit which makes sense why people feel an attachment to it.
Got the travel size of MP yesterday and ended up buying the full size along with the MP lotion and a discovery set today. They also tossed in a 3-sample set up their close to skin perfumes (MP, Hanami, and Not Your Baby) and a sample of Solar Power.

I actually love their old and new fragrances.
I just got Tangerine Boy in the travel size and loved it, so I had to get the larger size instantly. On me Tangerine Boy settles into Sparkling Jo by Vilhelm Parfumerie.
Hanami is a beautiful fragrance - I was worried they discontinued it. It’s sold on their website but not at Sephora.

i bought the discovery kit and i was actually shocked at how much i didn’t care for tangerine boy 😢 it comes off very soapy to me, almost like the orange ajax. i like lost cause and sandara but they wear weird on me. my favorites from them were phloria, somebody wood, missing person, and not your baby. i’m very curious about the new fragrance they released bc it came out a month after i got their discovery kit 🙄

I returned tangerine boy a week after purchasing, it doesn't last at all.. After an hour my friend couldn't even smell it on my wrist that we tested on...I'm surprised there was no mention of that

I purchased the explorer set via Sephora and only liked a few in the set. I ended up getting the 10 ml of Missing Person and it just disappears on me in ~30 minutes. Lost Cause and Somebody Wood are great too. I’ll have to see if Tangerine Boy holds up. Great reviews and thanks for going more in-depth than other reviewers.

You mentioned that you did not know why they launched so many new fragrances in 2022. Apparently Phlur had a ownership/management changeover in 2021, which would explain all of the new launches.
I think phloria reminds me of a soy candle or like Blanche from Byredo

I swear that I've never heard of this company before. Now, I'm adding their fragrances to my list of companies to familiarize myself with.
They started on ads on FB and IG .. they sent you the sampler pack with like 5 scents for $15 and that went on to a full sized bottle after sampling and picking out your favorite .. that how they started about 6 years or so ago
