We wanted to wish you happy riding. Also, the Wiggle thing made the cycling news in Aust and it was a shock as I had been buying stuff from them for many years. I hope you are reimbursed what they owe you.

As a reasonably recent (past year purchase) of a Vitus Vitesse that i am very happy with (previously had canyon and Giant TCRs) very sad to see it go and probably any warranty. Vitus were doing pretty well and making some good products. Bought some spares for specfic frame parts and hangers just in case...

New opportunities are exciting. Always enjoy your content. Huge changes in the bike Industry…funnily has re-engaged my love of custom-hand made-bespoke. Basically small bike related brands ( not owned by a Global Corporation,with its profit over people ethos). Hand made steel or titanium frames etc. Take care of yourself.

The Fraser group aren't noted for giving a toss about existing debts when they grab a bargain bucket deal. I fear for the smaller creditors with lower cash flow, and going forward if the brands are resurrected in some form then trust will be thin. There's a whole range of affiliate marketers who will also be out of pocket when commissions are renaged on. Both Wiggle & CRC could have been happily trading as independent businesses if they had not got greedy. It's a salutory lessen not to sell your soul to a bunch of VCs.
They won't pay any creditors. They bought the IP, not the business. That £10Mthey paid will go to creditors, after administrators and accountants have taken a chunk. Nothing else besides stock and office liquidation to pay their long list of debts.
Yeah the writing was on the wall really when Wiggle took over CRC. Over aggressive unsustainable expansion by the parent company Signa. We need better laws to protect employees and creditors from this type of unsustainable expansion. Like they brought in righter rules for banks and the capital they need to have, after the financial crash

Venture capitalists encouraged expansion then pulled the funding when the industry took a turn. They were not running a bad business. It was the promise and the pull that left them high and dry

I was a real fan of CRC and Wiggle. They were my 'go to'. Some great bargains this last week - but now the shelves are bare. I just hope that they are resurrected as they were. Cycling has become too expensive - see the before/after for Ribble.

Unlikely. Their brands are now owned by Frasers Group (Sports Direct, Evans, etc). Stock is being auctioned off by 22nd March.
