Im amazed by how hand firing is still quite a popular thing in the States. In the UK hand firing nowadays is almost unheard of. Id love to try it once. Because I think when you are that close to them you can learn to appreaciate just how dangerous it can be. I wouldnt do it as a regular thing though. I much prefer using Fireone or Cobra
It has become practically obsolete among the larger companies here in the states in just the last couple years, only the pretty small campanies really hand fire anymore. Hand firing is much easier/faster to set up, a lot of pyros prefer it, and e-firing certainly doesn't come without it's risks
To my knowledge they are wanting to do away with it here in the states. Yes, it’s much less setup and much more fun for the guy lighting them! The flare on a stick is a great idea
I helped handfire four or five shows a year for approximately 10 years. I still love seeing a professional display, but it will never have the same adrenaline rush as hand firing!
Just a hint. When you have someone videoing your "professional display company" maybe go online and lookup some safety apparel. This right here is why I teach.
Y’all did an awesome job. Glad to see I left them in good hands.
So nice guys!! Great work!! 😊🎉
