At 27:00 I have a question. How did you move four points on the Struggle Track? You held three active objectives so wouldn't that be simply three steps? Where did the fourth point come from?
@@AegisbrandStudios Yes. But I'm pretty sure this was the 1st struggle in timing. But that explains it; probably you guys got excited and were scoring a struggle ahead of where you should have been. I just wanted to check I had not missed some rule or character ability.
Okay, just reviewed it. Of the five active objectives, I was scoring 4. The three along the centre line, and the one of the right corner of the table on my side. It was hiding up on the tower, so you may have missed it
Ouch. 1:24:00 The disarm token would have gone away after the first BH attacked, so you would have gotten all 4 expertise from the second attack. Not sure how the math plays out, but you likely would have wounded Sabe with the extra successes and damage from the expertise tree. Very close game!
At 31:25, by my count, you should have had one additional step on Sabe's damage tree. You rolled 3x hits + 5x expertise (1x crit + 3x hits), which translates into 1x crit + 6x hits; against which Cad threw 2x blocks + 2x def-expert (2x blocks), so 4x blocks total. The end result should have been 7 total hits minus 4 total blocks, which would have been 3 steps of the damage tree and not the 2 you did in the video (unless I am missing something).
They actually are still engaged, they just do not prevent another character from advancing out of engagement. Had that one corrected on me early on, as I had been treating them as not engaging anymore when wounded.
No worries, my friend! Whenever someone calls me out, I do the same thing, and double check. It helps reinforce the correct ruling, be it my interpretation, or how I was corrected. I appreciate that people like you take the time to comment and engage
At 13:14, you forgot to take the free focus with the climb for exposed flank. Exposed flank gives them sharpshooter 1, which would have given you 7 dice instead of 5 on your attacks. Never mind, you guys caught it. 😅
If you saw a full birds eye view of the terrain and placement, it would be more clear that their bases still were within the area/perimeter of the terrain the feature, which does make it valid placement. Because the wording of the rules state that a base cannot overlap onto terrain at a lower elevation, or the battlefield, as long as part of the terrain feature is still underneath the base, it is a legal placement. This is because the terrain feature does not end at the platform, but it is the whole thing. This is one of the weirder parts of how AMG likes to structure their terrain rules, that does not fit into the way a lot of other games handle it (see wobbly model syndrome in 40k), and an odd artifact of 2D vs. 3D terrain. Add to that, with terrain not designed for 40mm bases, sometimes some abstraction needs to be allowed (see our use of the large trees, and the platforms, in other SWP games), otherwise we would be stuck using the core terrain, and little else.
Correct they both can’t move, but for example the 501st troopers are pinned and they do a move action, the first trooper gets rid of the pin but can’t move whilst now the second trooper can do a full move action.
Nice to see the new squads in action! Wouldnt Maul be able to hit Mace back with 8 dice at ua-cam.com/video/aaiG-nsw6HQ/v-deo.html? His "i want revenge" abilty should trigger or did i miss something?
The paint jobs are getting better and better! Fun match as always, too
Another great battle report! Love seeing the new squads on the table!
The Handmaidens Squad is solid
Have to say your mini's are painted beautifully
Thanks! I appreciate that! It helps Jason brings some solid painted minis to the channel, as well, when he uses his own
haven't even watched yet, but excited to see yall enjoy (or hate!) the new squads!
At 27:00 I have a question. How did you move four points on the Struggle Track? You held three active objectives so wouldn't that be simply three steps? Where did the fourth point come from?
Starting in the second struggle, the one of the objectives is a priority objective, and is worth two points, instead of one

Ended up being 4 damage and not the 5 required unfortunately so no change in what happened.
Wooo, more Shatterpoint!! And this time with a missing N
What? Never heard of a kidapping, before? :p

It is always possible some math went wrong. Every so often, my eyes skip a step, and I try to account for it, but mistakes can certainly happen
At 39’ wondering if you get Maces buff if he’s wounded, remember that wounded models do not engage enemies
They actually are still engaged, they just do not prevent another character from advancing out of engagement.

@@AegisbrandStudios same…learn something new every day (bc of course I had to check the rules on you to validate you were right 😉)

Yeah, the first bit of handmaidens actions were a bit... Messy 😂
@@AegisbrandStudios It's new units. Mistakes are bound to happen. 😅😅😅
Would Ponds and the ARF Trooper be able to get up on the tower with Aurra Sing, it looks like their bases were overhanging a little?

What do you think about cade, grevious and all droid (kalani, magna, kraken and b2)?
Do 2 character support units shate immobilize/disarm/strain/expose? Or is it per character
When a unit does a recover action, both characters perform the action, which means they each could remove 1 damage, or 1 condition
@@AegisbrandStudios but both conditions were on the same character which was my confusion
@@thomascurtis889yes conditions apply for the squad and not individual characters
@ConnorMcArdell damn I've been playing it per character, so if one character gets pinned they both can't move?

He could have, yeah. Unfortunately, Jason forgot about it until about 4-5 activations after the fact
Couldn’t watch video. Too much motion…made me woozy. Sorry.
Fair enough. Constantly trying to improve. Ideally a camera with better stabilization is in the cards in the future
Please keep camera on minis until after the role. No one wants to watch empty dice box.
We definitely try to have as little 'dead' footage as possible, but sometimes one of us is a bit faster than the other.
