@@TatroMachine i noticed a lack of a seal on the inner primary so I assume you are installing the enclosed secondary chain housing. I see you used a sealed bearing but they in my experience will not hold back the primary fluid. I would have used a narrower bearing and a seal on this application.
tatro have a question mate ive been running tribodyn engine oil and i have pulled cylinders and getting honed and new rings will the little bit of tribodyn oil that is left in system hurt the breakin oil ive drain oil tank sucked out crank pumped through by hand few times and cleaned out oil filter cant find anything on this your imput would be aprechiated mate thanks
clean out what you can and you should be ok. if you want to flush the system out. put 2qts of oil in the oil tank and take the oil return off the oil tank. run the motor and pump out 1 qt of oil into a drain pan. when you see clean oil you are good. if you see dirty oil than pump the 2nd qt out too. just stop before you run out of oil in the tank. if everything looks good than reinstall the oil line and put 2qts into your tank. run the bike thru your breakin now. leave your oil tank a qt low during the breahin so that you have room for the extra blowby until the motor breaks in. fill th tank up when you start doing long rides. tatro
hey Tatro, i have a braincracker here, working on my knuckle with a "74 ratchet the mainshaft support bearing is way loose on mine, i can slide it over the shaft and rock is ever so gently. it's an allballs bearing ( tried two) and the shaft looks fine, is this a common problem and how would you proceed with this?
Whew! Glad to put that video behind us Keenan! Darned good work sir!!
You are a true craftsman. Keep up the Great work you are doing.
Good Job!
sir tatro, it will leak oil but hell they did when they were brand new so at least you are maintaining the standard...
done correctly you should have very little leaks on your bike.
tatro
I use the lock type green sleeve retainer..👍👍
that is the one i like the most. the newer other ones should be better but i am not sure about that one.
tatro
Excellent work. Screw that out of round business. I'm sure that sealed bearing doesn't know the difference.
🤘
is it running a belt drive?
no, these were all chain drive bikes. the belts came out later on. you should have know this by the year.

@@TatroMachine i also assumed that someone had already converted it to a primary belt drive.
