On the one hand, my heart breaks for Ste because I know what's coming but on the other hand, ooooh, I quite like seeing someone make Terry squirm, I love the idea of him being scared shitless of someone else, give him a taste of his own bitter medicine. Also want to wipe the smug off Jonny's face because he now knows that he has Ste's loyalties. I have lots of mixed feelings. If only he'd only go after the bad guys and not prey on the vulnerable.
Can any one reclised Johnny when he was younger he played wonderful Ray Quinn he was in brookside loved him and now I loved the storylines of the far right group,part of the storylines the best far right group
ok, i;m gonna say it...Johnny is f*cking brilliant...i know he is evil and gonna lures Ste into radical group shit and probably i'm gonna hate him very soon...but for now i'm just enjoying watching him... such a smart devilish rascal... not jut a caricature villain...he is brilliant mind-gamer..and the actor is simply terrific !
Really not looking forward to this whole "far right extremism'" story, though I will say that Jonny sure makes an intriguing villain. Ste's only hope for survival is that Jonny has a secret child that he neglects, and Breda Mcqueen finds out about it... :) :)
The Breda line was funny.:-) And I am so with you on the first part. In fact I think Hollyoaks should have postponed the radicalization storyline to some other characters, cause not only is the brothers reunited storyline both better, and more interesting, as I see it. But it really doesn`t make sense for Johnny/Gavin, if his interest in Ste was just to recruit him for this racist gang, to wait so long before making his move. And not only that, but falsely claiming Ste to be his own brother?! Something which could have placed both him and his gang under the police microscope, should he have been discovered and reported to have lied about being Ste`s brother, and the police suspected him the motive was some kind of fraud - and as a result his entire life would have been subject to an investigation. As much as Johnny has involved himself in Ste`s life - and over so many weeks - there would have had to be a personal motive of some sort. Otherwise he would have focused his energy on recruiting someone else. So with Johnny having lied about being Ste`s brother, the only logical explanation I can see for why he would do that, was if he wanted to continue to be in contact with Ste - despite having stopped Ste, when Ste tried to kiss him. And now that we know Johnny/Gavin is not Ste`s brother, it makes very little sense why he would be so keen to keep in touch with him, despite having turned down Ste`s advances. Unless he does fancy Ste, but the reason he stopped Ste from kissing him, is that he is so used to have to hide his true personality and preference, he instinctively reacted the way he did. Immediately regretting it, and inventing the brother excuse so he could remain in contact with Ste - even become closer to him. But without revealing himself to be gay - which probably wouldn`t go down too well with the right wing gang he is in. If I am right, maybe the storyline we will get is not Ste being deceived and finding himself in a situation, and violent and racist gang, he cant get out of? But instead Ste who will be the hero, helping Johnny/Gavin break ties with the gang, so he can come out and be himself - and be with Ste? Time will tell.
@JC’s Live Journal Jonny must have done some research on Ste before he came to the village as he had a photo of Ste´s mother (how would he have got that so fast otherwise) and they (group or gang) must have had some information about Ste (maybe that came when Ste was in prison) and saw him as a person with bad self-esteem and they thought that they would slowly and gradually be able to recruit him. There are a lot of things that doesn´t make sense. Jonny tells Ste that he is his half-brother to be able to get close to him in a short time. I read they have done some research how these kind of groups can operate and recruit people. I think that they shouldn´t have said anything about radicalisation so when it actually happens is more of a shock for the audience. I guess we will see things change gradually.

I usually watch the episode live on TVMucho.com. Then search for channel E4. It is on at 7pm U.K. time. So for me that is 12 noon when it's on.
